Painted Heat Exchanger

Has anyone painted their heat exchanger? I am wanting to paint mine black but don't know if I will affect it or not. Any input?

Why is this in lnf section? But any who i'd say bad because I would think paint would hold the heat in.

it's too thin to really make a difference.

Mine has the Eaton logo painted on. Works great. No problems whatsoever.

Painting it shouldn't make any difference.

how did this get into the lnf section? anyways....if you paint the whole intercooler or heat exchanger with your typical rattle can ive heard stories of them becoming clogged. theres a way to do it the correct way. heres a pic of my intercooler but i had a specialty coating applyed to it. the coating extracts the heat out of the aluminum helping the intercooler to stay cool.

They make radiator paint in satin black and sell it at advance auto and napa. It is designed to transfer heat and comes in a rattle can.

Here's an idea: Get a fan you don't give a **** about and lay the H/E on the fan with the fan blowing away from the H/E. Turn the fan on and paint the H/E on the fan. That way it sucks the paint through the fins and removes any idea from your mind that it might "clog" something.

Or just don't be a bitch and just paint it.
