People with the S1 cams, chime in!
Yes, I said that first, but unfortunately it often causes one to take offense, regardless of what words follow. What I really meant was that my saying that the OP should stick with ZZP for a tune was not meant as a reflection on anyone elses tuning capability. It merely means that it would be in a customer's best interest to have his car tuned by the shop that provided the majority of the parts if he wants to keep his warranty 100% intact.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
I needed a good laugh so I came back to the old Cobalt forum to see what's up and this is what I find. You two guys are a joke. Post up or send me some logs or tunes and I'll tell you what's wrong with BOTH of your tunes. Saying "No one can tune ZZP turbo kits or motors as well as ZZP" is dead wrong and proves at least one of you is just a pompous #ss.
Seriously, OP, you can send me a log or tune if you want and I'll give you a direction to head in at least. Or get out of this forum and try asking questions on the HPT forum. These guys aren't interested in helping people, they just like to fight and compare wieners.

Hey John, check out the 730whp LNF thread and tell me again how the 5th injector kit doesn't work!
lol, John called someone else pompous. That was the best part.
You invited me to a meet to where I said I couldnt come to if it was set in a cwrtain weekend. Its in one of the threads made by you or the few others. Trust me its there. Second off give me a thread within the last few days meaning 2-3 days of me coming in. please. Third is his first engine was a head gasket not caused by me thank you very much.. proof is one thing, **** talk is another. Op even states it was him who prob caused it...
Some issues here-
1. I invited James up to ZZP for our dyno day, but he declined stating that there would be too much drama. He later said he couldn't go because it conflicted with a different meet, however he had stated that he would not be attending before we chose the date
2. If you can find a thread where I went in first and started bashing James out of the blue, please post a link. You won't find it. However, just in the last few days there have been multiple threads with serious zzp bashing coming from him, and it never changes.
3. It is not necessarily fine if the OP goes to James. It actually causes a conflict of interest. What is going to happen if his motor sufferes serious detonation and the head gasket fails(or worse.) Do you think James is going to pay for that? No, he won't. Should ZZP be required to pay for it? If we did the tuning, then there would be reasonable liability. It's no secret that James was tuning the OPs car originally when his motor failed. Was it his fault? Maybe, maybe not. What did he do about it? Nothing. He said that the tune wasn't done, which is a common statement from him in these situations. ZZP does not need to work on a tune like this for days. An hour on the dyno would suffice. Later, the OP found that he had his wastegate hooked up wrong. I can assure you that zzp would have found that issue and the OPs original motor would most likely not failed.
4. If you think I did not offer to help the OP, then you have no idea what's going on and probably should not be commenting.

So what your saying is I havent helped anyone on this forum? Wrong .. ive litterally helped most of this forum! Only reason I and matt had a disagreement is from his comment that zzp can tune Zzp products better. I not once said anthing close to what he said. Each tuner is different, lambda spark, optimium spark, timing tables, fuel tables and etc are changed with each.. so you saying that you can find somthing, is like one of us looking at somones tune and saying the same thing.. we are all different... .
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

So let me get this straight, I "refused" to meet up for the greater good of the community"? You never had the ***** to even PM, email, text or call to invite me! The way you "invited" me was a pu55y move. If you were a man you would have asked me properly. So I never "refused", I was never asked.
You think I don't know why you did that? Come on, any idiot could see through that attempt. You really think your customers and members on this forum are that stupid? You posted it in public because you knew there was no way I was gonna do it. That way, as you just did, you can say I "refuse" to help the community. BS. You want me to take valuable time off of my work and personal life, fly across the country, rent a car, book a hotel and spend all weekend telling you how to tune? Are you delusional? And don't bother saying you would have paid me, you can't afford me. I wouldn't tell you what I know if you paid for my plane ticket, car and hotel, AND handed me a check for $10k. And don't bother telling me about all the hundreds of guys I could have talked to and helped, I know the whole weekend was pretty much a dud. Gee, I could have told you that was gonna happen if you would have asked.
You wanted me to come out there and teach you how to tune because you and I both know there's a TON you don't know or understand. Anyone with even just the basic grasp of tuning can make an LNF put out 700hp. My god dude, you aren't making decent power until 5400rpm, and it's done at 7k? Are you proud of a 1600rpm power spread? I sure wouldn't be. My meager little setup makes power from 3000 to 7500rpm, with an almost flat torque curve averaging (I'm not talking about a big boost spike peak) over 400wtq the whole 4500rpm power spread. Where are most of your "kits" being used? I'm betting 9 out of 10 are driven on the street. How well is the drivability of that front wheel drive car with NO LSD? I'll put $1k against my son's stock LS1 GTO walking away from that Cobalt as it's sitting there spinning. My Sky will do 3.2 second 60-100's all day long, show me a log of ANY of your cars doing the same. (I'm only giving those two examples as a preface to the next question.) So what is the point of that 700hp for 1600rpm's? It's not to go fast on the street, that's for sure. Not the best setup for any track racing either in my opinion. The race teams and drivers I've worked for would have laughed at me if I told that that's all I could give them. They'd say "Go back and get me 500hp over three times the rpm spread, that's usable power". I've never seen any dyno charts that shows me you guys even know how to do that. Most of your pulls start at 4k, wth? Oh and I could do the same thing with a garden hose pouring gas into the intake, that doesn't mean your 5th injector is a good design, it's not. It's a horrible design and if anyone wants to know how to build a better one yourself for less money I'll be glad to tell you. I think I already used the analogy of the V-Tech guys using a leaf blower into the intake to raise their dyno numbers. Is that a good idea too? You guys keep harping on the big dyno numbers meaning your products work. One DOES NOT mean the other is true. It just means you know how to get big dyno numbers. Big numbers for 1600rpm's is retarded.
BTW, acting like a know-it-all when you really don't know **** is pompous. Only one of us fits that description.
And James, the "not interested in helping" comment was directed mostly at Matt. I have seen your tunes though and a little humility would probably be in order. I do appreciate the fact you try to help a lot of guys out. And you try to keep ZZP honest too, which I have to tell you is a battle you're never gonna win. I know you do it to get the truth for the guys on the forum, that in itself is admirable.

I'd like to hear the details on this. (If the previous tune was done by zzp.) Feel free to tell me who's car this was and what mods he had. If you don't want to post it here, then please PM it to me. These situations nearly always end up full of surprises when investigated closer. I'm sure this case will be no different.
Yea, I try but no one sees it other then you john. The only tune you seen of mine was the tune that I used your cam tables (or based off them) right. Cuz that was the only one I ever has shown to anyone. I had a few tables for antones car and those cam tables worked great. I since then have made a few and he made a bit more power with his setup

I never said the OPs engine failure was your fault. I said that if the car was being tuned at ZZP, we would have caught the wastegate hooked up wrong and avoided the engine failure. There is some value in that.
So what your saying is I havent helped anyone on this forum? Wrong .. ive litterally helped most of this forum! John: Hey, these two guys are arguing about whos better at something! What a couple of idiots- It doesn't matter because I'm the best at everything I do!
You won't catch me or James acting like that. We both try to stick to specifics and actually discuss something without acting like a dad talking to his 2 year old kids.
I talked crap in that clutch thread that you got locked? Sorry if you took it that way, it wasnt meant that way other then me getting kinda errrrr cuz he drove so far to get tuned and dynoed.
Mark, i did say he needs to understand, this is his third engine now within a year, so from me there is somthing going wrong. Wether its your side or his. There is no reason for two fully built engines to go boom.. He needs to learn a lesson. Wether its to find another place to build a engine or to just go another platform or somthing.. Im not saying its anyones fault. It could just be shitty bearing or somthing made from the mfg. I dunno. All i do know is a lesson needs to be learned on his side..

Just gotta say it i like that word. [/B]
You intentionally refrained from posting on this forum in the mean time, but say I was being a "pu55y".
So there was no way you were going to do it? That's unfortunate.
I never said you refuse to help the community. I said you refused to do this one particular thing which would help the community.
Tell me how to tune? The idea was to spend the time with customers and share ideas and information. You have a pretty ridiculous view of the entire concept. The invitation clearly asked what it would take to get you here. Why didn't you just put the price on it back then? Why wait til you are mad and then just start typing stupid numbers since it's already done?
I didn't think it was a dud. Of course there would have been more people there if other tuners could make it, or if the weather had been good, but overall it was worthwhile. We had enough people come in to keep the dyno running, but not so many that we couldn't take time to help the people who had issues that needed to be addressed. Those people really appreciated the effort.
Yes, it's real easy. No one else wants to make a lot of power though.
It's done at 7k? Or that's where I lifted? It makes power past 8k, actually. You said it doesn't make decent power til past 5400rpm, but it's at about 575whp at 5400rpm. I guess that means that your car doesn't make "decent power" ever based on your own definition.
Now you are just making things up. 400wtq at 7500rpms is 571whp. Your car doesn't make close to that much hp, so your torque claim numbers are false.
blah blah blah blah I'm great is pretty much all I read through the rest of that.

I agree that Mark needed to change some things up. We are working with him on that. We also agreed to replace his motor for free, yet you were trying to convince him that we are somehow screwing him over. If you really want to know what's going on, feel free to ask me. Don't just assume that we are doing something wrong and then go around bitching about it when we are actually in the middle of doing the right thing. It's not his third motor either, it's his second.
As much as I don't get along with James, I respect him more than I respect John. The reason for this is simple-
John: Hey, these two guys are arguing about whos better at something! What a couple of idiots- It doesn't matter because I'm the best at everything I do!
You won't catch me or James acting like that. We both try to stick to specifics and actually discuss something without acting like a dad talking to his 2 year old kids.

In Brants case, the assumption that he plotted the thread was way in accurate. He asked me if he should, and i said only if you guys dont respond. he i seen your post in which i reacted the way i did because of how brant was treated in the thread. I am sorry, honestly.
In the clutch thread, you stated that zzp won't take care of any customers. All the while we were offering to replace the clutch for free- parts and labor. As far as I know, it's not slipping, though.
Now this one is one i dont get. Cuz even mark said he was on his third now. ( meaning last two engines had issues) .. If not okie dokie....
but anyhow
"PU55Y" Is a funny ass way to say ***** lol.

Can you forward it to my email at stattama@aol.com? I didn't see it forwarded to me from customer service. Thanks.
