Ported Stock Turbo???
Well just ran in to my friend from back home(SRT-4) let him drive the car and he is amazed with it. We started tallking bout our cars and the most recents mods, he mentioned getting his stock turbo ported and gaining HP and TQ. Any truth to this and would it be worth doing this to our cars?

go to s r t f o r u m s .com and take a peek... lots of supporting vendors.
PTP performance did it when I owned my SRT...
Boy, I miss that little skittle..
ported and clipped??? We haven't even touched the tip of the ice burg with this car..
From p t- performance . com:
So you want more than 300 + WHP out of your SRT-4 but don’t want to go big turbo? We have the answer for you. The SS turbo….
With over 2500 hours of test time and multiple failures we finally came to a design that worked for us and held boost over 32 PSI with zero shaft failures. There have been multiple cars to hit 330WHP with little to no tuning and with a good tune on your car you can see as high as 390WHP.
What is the SS turbo? It is a custom compressor wheel with clipped turbine wheel and ported/machined, ceramic coated compressor housing. It’s a direct replacement for the stock turbo and will bolt up to the stock manifold (we recommend the PTP modified manifolds for this turbo) with no problems.
What are the benefits of the SS Turbo? No part throttle boost, better daily drivability, better MPG (less boost to move more air), lower EGT’s, and best yet…. MORE POWER!
Now you may ask “when does it spool?”
This is one of the best things about the SS turbo; 2200 to 2800 RPM is when you will have full spool. Not 3000 RPM or higher like big turbo set ups or like the other modified stock turbos that can not be WOT till 3000 RPM due to compressor surge.
