It's about 10" shorter than a cobalt. No surprise its smaller.

No LSD. It's electronic traction control via braking.

The bmw you listed also looks lowered.. You can usually see sidewall of the tire in the fender of a bmw. How is he gaining speed while shifting (inbetween gear's when he let's off) in the video posted above of just the speedo...?

yeah the car is slammed and has burger racing intakes and exhaust. they are not sure if it is tuned or not, but my guess is that it was at some point.
they called me today and said they have the deal done if i wanna come trade my car, its just up to me if i wanna...
i'm actually really second guessing it right now and dont know if i wanna do it anymore

My speedo will go up like 10+mph off the throttle on a 3rd gear pull

Does it have any warranty or extended warranty that you can apply for? Is it being sold as is where is no warranty at all? If no warranty of anykind id test drive it before you pull the trigger for sure. But it's all on what YOU want my man! Good luck!

I had a 335i coupe that I sold 1yr 4 months ago. I had it making 622whp with an Active autoWorks kit. Never built internals and had it looking all stock. Had her tuned with Vishnu. Its a great looking car but to me it just was to easy, it was not worth the money. Got bored with the car quick after I was done. Sold it

I have a GLi as my daily and the Sky as my toy for the track. Much more exciting car

Have fun with maintenance. The Cobalt costs pennies to own & operate compared to that car.

If its used then do the maintenance yourself and you'll be paying just as much as the Cobalt for oil.

i did some research and they seem to really have issues. especially with the fuel pumps, and the engine running hot.
the car is really clean, but at 68k miles, scares me to death...i really need a 4door car, but am not willing to get rid of a car that has low miles and fast, for a car that is slower and a lot more money to take care of...
Power is a big concern of mine, and at 3600lbs, that car will need over 400hp to be faster than mine, plus they look like a pain in the ass to replace maintain...
Beautiful car, but i have a lot of doubts now

My dream car is a 335xi, so I'm biased when I say do the trade.

You guys and your "high" miles.. I still think 68k is LOW.
My balt has 154k. S10 ZR2, 90k, same with the grand am gt.
Lowest is my mom's cavy with 45k.. lol.

It's a used car. If you're so scared, pony up for a brand new one.

It doesn't matter who does the labor - the parts are what I was talking about. Why do you think people lease those cars? They would be paying more than their monthly car payment to keep the thing fully maintained and reliable after the complimentary service runs out. If you think you can drive a BMW on a budget then you're a genetic deficient

Have you owned a BMW???????? If people have the attitude of not even trying and ASSUMING like you do....... you wouldn't reason and try to come up with a smartass answer or use fine vernacular cause we would be still banging rocks and live in caves.

I did the oil change in my 335i, myself. **** the god damn maintenance plans they offer. Each oil change was about $80 for AMSOIL(the best) including Filter. I didn't have a problem selling the thing either and I didn't lease the bitch, paid 24k of the 47k it cost me out the door. Sold it for 41K for the 2 years I had it.

Another thing, don't be as vague when you say "If you think you can drive a BMW on a Budget then you're a genetic deficient". Really? What about an E30 or E36 or a 2002? You could run those puppies for less than a cobalt. Your talking about BMW's luxury **** and 7 series or M6 Coupe territory. Dude we're talking about the 3 series man, its not hard to get one and if you look hard and WORK hard you can get one for a great price. Not that your going to cause you choose to be cheap.

So please tell me about the issues then. Is there really major cooling issues, or fuel pump issues or any other issues I would have to look out for? Edmunds has tons of people basically saying the 335i is crap most of the time, and left them stranded many times...There was a few that said their car was perfect till the 50k mile warranty went out, then it fell apart.

I have no experience with bmw, thats why i made this thread

yeah, apparantly, they came with an oil cooler option, but if it doesnt have it, then you cant get on it hardly at all without the car going in limp mode and overheating...crazy stuff

Yes, the Coolant temp when pushing the cars hard can get up to 250-60 range. I did a canyon run and had to stop for the car to cool down. As for parts, never had anything major mechanically, an HID bulb did go out prematurely and I had 1 wheel bearing in the back Right go out. All were replaced at a BMW I locally go to and trust. I just found myself getting bored with it after a while. People hype up BMW's like there literally the "Ultimate Driving machine" but you can experience the same performance in a sport compact, maybe not the creature comforts but that's something I can live without.

What about a Kia Optima? It's a 4 door sedan and the turbo version has a DI 275hp engine with creature comforts that are on par or better than the 335i, how do I know? My father just got one and I enjoyed it while I was home. That thing with a tune could be really fun. Keep in mind though the car seats in the back.

lol, thanks man...
i really am torn..i like my car a lot, but i do need more space, but i do not wanna lose out on the tuneability that i have with my car, or the reliability.

here in Florida, leather is not the best to have, but it is a more grown up car, and being 32 and having 2 kids, its probably better suited for me, but we will see. I am gonna sleep on it.

sounds pretty awesome with muffler delete and the dual cone filters though...lol
