PPC tuner

Anyone have this tuner? Do you guys know if this will be picked up by the OnStar diagnostic report? I do not want to void my warrenty, this seems to be a great upgrade. Any input on this would be great, thanks guys

In before those people quoting Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Don't mod if you don't want your warranty voided, or wait for the GM stage kit.

cant you save the stock profile of the car. and then tune it, so whenever you need to bring it into the dealer, you just put it back to stock.

The PPC is really a waste of money IMO....just get a hold of Clear Image Automotive and ask them about a trifecta tune....more power for cheaper....$250 vs. near $1000.

ppc is the only way if you need to go back to the stock tune to take into the dealer, its more than other tunes, but I am going into the dealer for the cam sensor issue as well as my back brakes. I will upload the factory tune, and the dealer will be none the wiser, especially if some wash bay kid takes it out after he washes it and wants to beat the car, it will only be stock.

or think about this, you have the car tuned(non ppc), then you need to go into the dealer, he has to reflash the pcm for an update that GM may send down

and there goes your tune you paid for.

just my 2 cents

Yep you can!!!!
I do have Trifecta tuning and it really worth the money!!! I suggest you to buy the ez Flash cable, so you can re-tune your car with the original programing everytime you need!!

I got 293 whp and 330 wtq bone stock with just the tuning!!!

gm is looking for after market tunes if somthing is wrong with the car so if you wanna do this i think you would have to buy a second ecu or whatever..... and i would go with either psycosteve..... or trifecta..... ppc is a lil pricey for a box tune...

Thanks for the info guys. So if the stock ECU was tuned and then set back to stock they will see that?

You can buy a cable from Clear Image Auto its $200 and you use your laptop to go between stock tune and the power tune....anyways even if you turn your car back to its stock tune they can still find out the ECU has been tampered with by using a Tech II I do believe....so even with the PPC tuner your warranty could still be void...I just do not see the point in spending $1000 for a hand held tuner that yields less results than $250.

Yes, As I understand it they can read the last 15 ECM calibration codes. The ECM apparenty stores the last 15 so unless you flash it back to stock 15 times they could find out, but honestly most dealers are not going to go through the trouble unless you blow 2 transmissions in 2 years then they will def. get suspicious.
