thats not the point, do you know how much money it takes to get a blown ss to run well on that much boost?

No MBC.

Tune and cat-back is a tune and a cat-back whether it costs 32098432 dollars or roughly 1600

tune and a catback on this car, can be pretty heavily modded.
put it this way....21-23psi, is more boost than a 2.5 pully on an ss/sc
so, i guess im runnin less than a tune and a catback

cooling mods,60s, tune might still be cheaper than that 1000.00 tune.

im with you too... i think I would be in mid 13's with the tune... i have been having decent launches lately and i think running a 14.27 with 2 passengers thats pretty good... what they say every 100lbs is a 1/10 of a second?

Apples to oranges though.

You are running(correct me if I am wrong now):

Larger injectors

Smaller pulley

Catback

Tune

Ultimately boost is not the sole measuring factor of horsepower.

Take an SS/TC up to your altitude and I bet it will make more boost...because the ECM says so. Some people are boosting 20psi stock, and others are boosting 15-15.5

Really we don't know what the BSR tune is doing to...besides turning boost up and raising the rev limit in first and second.

I see how you are looking at it, but to me a tune is a tune.

I mean there is a mod where you cut the wastegate arm to get more boost too.

talking about boost; is there any way to get more boost or get it to come in sooner on the ss/sc?

Is this a serious question?

If so... a smaller Supercharger Pulley will do that for you.

sorry i was trying to say could it be done with out a pulley swap. i heard {dont know what it is called} the black round thing on the supercharger, that you could adjust that to get your boost to come in sooner. sorry i sound like a dumb ass . i never had a supercharged car before. i would guess that would be somekind of blow off valve?

its called a boost bypass dont **** with it because yes it will **** your car up.. it will make you boost more but say a few times of boosting something will break...Its not good for your engine and just isnt safe... a pulley swap is cheap as hell and especially a stage kit is even safer than everything so forth just save and do it the right way so you dont blow **** up

Pulley spins the S/C faster or slower.

Bypass Valve opens and closes a butterfly in response to Throttle Position.

Im not really sure since i really never spent the time looking into it, but one thing i do know is that the boost bypass is not safe at all... The pulley is the best option with a good tune and good injectors... Honestly bro ive heard alot about the 2.79 being way to small for the gm stage 2 but thats your choice if it was me i would throw 60lbers on there and then get a tune and keep that 2.79 on there that way your injectors dont go static or past 100% duty cycle with the 60's you wont ever go static... This actually happened to my friend had a 2.8 and stage 2 and blew his **** up racing a mustang gt beat the mustang but then boom piston 1 and 3 and 3500 dollars later for a new engine....

neway good luck

Yea depends on how reliable you want the car to be my ss s/c ran a 14.6 stock at the track out here in cali when LACR was still around..that isn't adjusted for the altitude above sea level. but with driver mod and an cai u should be able to drop ur times easily.
