I keep hearing about the beltronics rx65 radar detector. I was wondering if anyone has this model? The price seems about 230. I def wanted something that can sense from ahead and behind. But I also wanted to ask if just a basic radar is good enough? I mean can a 50 dollar detector perform as effectively as the 230 beltronics??

 

I've been looking into it for a while and most people say if your not going to get the Valentine 1 or the Passport 9500 don't bother getting one at all. But those are ~$500

 

this is true but i got my beltronics for like $220 and its great for a basic front to back radar. had it for over a year and its never let me down and i ALWAYS speed. 35mph is just to slow..

 

I have the RX65. Got it used for $100. I've used it with 3 different cars that I've owned now over like 4 years lol. Works great still, never let me down.

 

I've got a V1 and love it also... Radar detectors go on any car not just lnfs.

 

i have a v1 in the cobalt, k40 in the camaro. best out there. some people say cobras are great but with the valentine one its funny just how many cobras you see on the rode.....they throw false ka bands lol.

 

I have the 9500ix and it is great. if you want a detector imo spend the money its worth it
