Diagram: Hardwire Radar Detector W/o Tools!

Many people hardwire their radar detectors to hide unsightly cords that many interfere with driving. However, hardwiring a device such as a radar detector can be risky if you tamper with your car's electrical system. Therefore, i've developed a tools-free, risk-free way to hardwire a radar detector with absolutely NO tools

***blue lines show HIDDEN wires
***red lines show visible cord

1. Purchase a "10 foot lighter extension cable" for your car for $7 - this extension will extend your radar detector cord and will also provide A TOGGLE SWITCH!

2. place Radar detector as high as possible
- this will give the radar a clear view of whats ahead on the road =more warning time
- DO NOT PLACE RD ON DASH - THIS WILL PROVIDE POOR RESULTS AND IS ONLY USED FOR DETECTING LASER, BUT BY THE TIME YOU DETECT LASER, YOUR SPEED HAS BEEN ALREADY AQUIRED!

3.once mounted, plug in the Radar cord into the radar and now shove the cord into the head lining of the car

4. next bring the cord ACROSS the A pillar and continue to hide the cord in the rubber seal that runs parallel to the A pillar.

5. when you reach the dash, lead the cord towards the "hood open" latch and proceed to put the cord behind the pedals (under the factory carpet!!!!)

6. lay the cord under the carpet until you start reaching the console. once you have reached the console portion, you can simply shove the cord inbetween the plastic

7. snake the excess cord between your seat and the console dash

8. plug in your radar detector to the handbrake, 12 volt battery system

You could easily make it all hidden by removing just the pillar panel with the guage pod. then feed wires down behind dash and then feed wirs along headliner. all done by removing one screw. so either or...
