My radiator ruptured yesterday after scraping my front end pulling into a parking lot. The rupture was on the drivers side on the "post" that goes inside the bushing. It also looks like my ZZP IC was pushed upwards into the bumper frame and got a decent dent.... FML.


Has anyone else had this happen to them?

 

I broke off the passenger side post on mine when I hit a raccoon. Mine didn't rupture, though. It's still like that.

 

ur rad is so high up though, ud have to destroy ur bumper and intercooler before ud hit that, how could that happen

I'm on stock springs. My bumper didnt hit just the underside of the car. I think its just super bad luck.

 

Nah Im actually on my 2nd aftermarket radiatior. 1st one was from an animal though. 2nd one I hit a really big dip in the road, low coolant came on in the DIC, I immediatley knew what it was. My ZZP Ic took a nice hit too. Bumper was fine lol.

Yup im actually on my third radiator now haha been able to get them warrantied tho since theres no actual damage to the radiator just the intercooler. Somehow I never seem to get close to hitting the bumper tho.

 

Well its good to hear im not alone. I got a replacement radiator for 80 bucks and I decided to get some nice replacement hoses from treadstone. Too bad im broke or I would grab a lower charge pipe while its nice and easy to get to.

 

I know how it goes man. I've done it 3 times in my base model. Stock suspension.

 

Busted another one this week, I opted for a replacement one with a lifetime garaunty.My ZZP intercooler also got a crack on the endtank from hitting the bumper.... FML.

 

Slow down on those driveways dude.

 

and go diagonal in them. no reason you should be breaking **** on stock height unless you're going way too fast over the stuff
