Really need the cold side?
When I did my coldside and hotside it took me 2.5 hours total by myself and I was realy **** abut the couplers and clamps. Maybe the clearance issue effects only the 08s my clearimage pipes were wihin a thousandth of an inch of touching so I ground down a couple of the bolts. The pipes move as the motor moves.

thats good. yeah it took me and HB SS/TC to do the hot side. prolly an hour? bc we were having a problem with putting the plastic piece back on the bottom.
Cold Side. took 2 hours bc we took the whole bumper off.

How exactly would you take off the stock lower CP and install the new one without taking the bumper off? Just wondering since I only did the hotside and was debating on cold side. Not worth it to me if the bumper needs to come off. Unless you just buy a new IC and lower CP and do it all at once!
To do the way I recommended, you'd need to get the hotside out of the way to open up that area where the hotside goes down to the IC, so you can route the coldside through it.
All told, it did make it easier taking the front facia off. It wasn't as hard as I thought either. Now that I know where all the bumper connections are, I could probably take it off in easily less that 30 mins.
I had Dejons intake and it was poorly designed. The breather and Coupler to the turbo were leakage prone and there is a chance that the little adapter inside the coupler could be sucked into the turbo.
It didnt take long to do the cold side for me once i realized what i had to do. I left the front bumper on and just lifted the front end of the car up and set it on jack stands. Once i did that i layed on the groundand was able to do everything from the bottom.
No, you do not need to take off the bumper at all... I highly recommend taking some on the underside retainer clips off on either side of the front. I also recommend taking out the lights to give you some room to work. The hot side will take 1.5 hours and the hard part will be the piece that attaches to the intercooler. The cold side will vary and is a pain on either end. You can try slipping the cold side in down through the top, but you will still scrap it when you turn it to line up the end that goes into the intercooler. I highly recommend putting in your sensors prior to inserting the cold side into the couplers as you will make the job of getting them in harder otherwise. I also recommend using brake free to get your couplers on all the way (especially the throttle body)... just make sure to let them dry a few hours and re-tighten everything. You will also blow off from the throttle body at least once, so don't wander to far from home on your first run. Make sure you re-tighten again once you have made your first run...
