You have to really love the Delta platform to spend all that money on a trans. Depending on parts costs, it's almost better to just rebuild the f35 and run it until it breaks.

A rebuild is going to cost as much if not more

depending on the core ( is it trashed?) 1900 exchange is pretty decent imho for a rebuilt. The fancy stuff adds a lot of cost to it, so run it and replace it seems to be a plan. I replaced mine at 40 k miles and there was nothing wrong with the old one when I checked it out, but thats a weaksos LSJ the LNF are Man Motors no doubt and trans wont last as long.

I was speaking specifically in the OPs case, since his housing is cracked and he's running a ZFR

Yeah no joke. Rebuilding my existing trans as-is would no doubt cost 3 grand and I would just break it again the next time I go to the track. That doesn't seem like a smart approach to me ;-)

I am reminded that INFE went 2 years with a 4.45 I built iirc with massive whp and unrelenting WOT.

Lsj with pt6262 correct? That's what I'm going to be running and hopefully with a built 4.45

Don't use the no lift shift and your trans will thank you. Before the LNF came out there was turbo swapped LSJs with over 400whp and there wasn't nearly as many trans issues as there are now.

2 different trans. One will allow less stress. That just happens to be the one in the lsjs.

They are not different trans it's the same exact thing with a different final drive ratio.

And I'm pretty sure none of the guys destorying their trans with the ZFR are not NLS already. Its the gearing of theF35 in the LNFs puts additional stress on the gears and 3rd gear seems to be at the ratio that says nope not taking this.

Then technically they aren't the same thing and you contradicted yourself saying that...

Shattered mine 3-4k miles after having my zfr. I NLS'd multiple times, time after time, and it took every bit of it until it let go.

It's the same thing. 3rd prob blows because it has a weaker synchro than 1st and 2nd.

NLS'ing actually makes a huge difference at the track with this car, I don't see why he is an idiot for making his car fast, using a key feature of the car and not be afraid I to break ****.

For the record, I never use NLS. So I think it's safe to say that even if that is one cause for failure, it's not the only one...

Lol. I would love further more details as to how you came to those conclusions.

Not necessarily, but I knew it was just a matter of time. With the way the tune was set up, as many times as I was down the track the first year with my car, as many pulls it had on it, and much much more taken into play it was gonna go anytime. It just happen to go like 3 days after I got my summer bonus from work. Lol. When it broke though, I was sitting on the side of the road laughing and having a good ole time with it. There was no need to be upset or mad about it. I was playing with fire and I got burnt. It happens.

How about doing some research, or... oh I dunno... actually listen to the people that personally rebuild F35s on a regular basis.
