Rock Products Engine Parts

Is anyone familar with Rock Products Engine Parts. I see they have parts for our engines such as bearings 1/3 the price. Trying to find out if anyone has used any of their rebuild parts ?

Generally, those aftermarket rebuild parts are made by the same companies that make the OEM ones, and are just fine. Best bet is to do a little research and see what company actually makes them for both GM and whatever company you're buying them from.

I don't know about their internals, but one of the top toyota engine rebuilders (for 80's/90's) toyota trucks/4runners swears by them for head gaskets. He says their quality is excellent and all of the rebuild kits he sells or installs have them.

I've used Rock Auto parts (if thats the same place) in the past. Usually have the best on parts plus deals from multiple manufacturers to choose from.

Use OEM bearings when it comes to the Ecotecs. You can get them from your local dealer for dirt cheap!

If you can find a tri-metal bearing I would go with that over a bi-metal bearing.
