Well does anyone know where I can get a stock 09 harness? Part #? I want to get one. If I get my hands on one I'll buy the Dashdaq and fab something up.

For the price I much prefer my Dash Hawk. Those DashDaq's are just a little too pricey. You can spend upwards of a thousand dollars on one. Why not just spend 300 on a DashHawk and get all the parameters. Just less colors.

Does it have any CEL checking/clearing ability?

Yep DashHawk does, code checking/clearing, view all sensors (including stock wideband), does all performance test 0-60 and quarter mile, it has shift light, coolant warning, rev warning. It also does GM relearns and much much more. All does data logging when hooked to computer

It sounds like a killer value then for what you get.

You dont need the harness if you going w/ Dashdaq/Dashhawk. Just need the harness to install the RPD (requires BCM reprogram (tech II required), RPD and a-pillar for RPD)

For Dashdaq you just plug it into your OBDII port.

RPD was a cheap option from the factory...if you didnt get there, your going spend upwards of a 1k-2k to install it...Thats why at first I was shocked when I read this.

Yeah Dashdaq, Intercepters, etc. are usually just plug and play with your OBDII underneath your dash.

They should work with any model Cobalt... you will just be missing a couple things sometimes. For instance, you're not going to get a boost parameter to work on a 2.2/2.4. Most of the other stuff should work fine though... it's the same bus/connector and everything.

is it really just plug and play? When you hook it up to the OBDII it feeds it power and everything?

Yep a DashHawk powers on, reads your car type and VIN, then starts displaying whatever you want.

http://dashhawk.com/ Works perfect with the SS/TC and it worked perfectly for my 2.2 Cobalt.

Only thing I can't get to work on my TC is the IAT2 sensor, not sure if the car even has one.

Good to hear that, so i guess you gotta choose between the DashHawk $300 or the DashDaq for $5-600+

Sounds good and good luck.

Remember to install updates on the DashHawk before you install it.

Well the DashHawk is powered through the OBD2 port so it shouldn't interfere with your radar detector.

I've been told that Dashdaq will read cam phasing and iat2 sensors if you get the upgraded GM option. Thats the only reason I would consder the dashdaq, but then again how important is it to watch those options? Iat2 would be important to me, I'm not sure how importnat seeing the cam phasing would be though (as I simply dont see many people that understand it themselves)

Since the TC has a factory wideband, you should be able to just read it off the car's data plug/bus. There's an option for extra programmable parameters though on the dashdaq if you decide to add stuff later on.

It should work. If not... it will still work. haha
