Running hotter in cold
Ok,i am going to say this.I have had the car for over a year, and i am correct in saying it runs hotter in cold weather! Why?It is very typical to get to 207* not even boosting for me.I am starting to think i have a fracture of my ic i can't tell.
I thought i was crazy or something was up with my car when I noticed this ....... glad the OP brought it up. Back in the fall when it started getting cold I noticed it would run hotter by 4-5 degree's at times .
Same here. My car sed to run at about 195 during the summer constant. Now if i get on it in the cold it will climb to about 208 to 210? wierd. lol my friends built 240 has trouble gettinover 180 even after getting on it.
The heater draws heat from the coolant to warm up the air blowing into the cabin, your theory is wrong. OP it is completely normal nothing to worry about. Also you dont have a crack in your intercooler, your intercooler has nothing to do with your engine coolant.
