Angry She goes Boom

I thought she was running wierd the past couple of nights, But i was completely Sure. Everyone i asked said it was in my head. the Idle was a tad weird, and the vaccuum was running wierd as well. I took it work in the morning and it ran perfectly.

Im coming home from meeting up my buddies and do a half throttle type pull all the way to about 95 let of... and SMOKE comes pouring out my exhaust, next thing my interceptor is reading 155 misfires and she sounds like crap... Im about a mile from so i get it home and i pop the hood everything looks fine, a little smokey. I look under the car.. Oil everywhere... But mostly towards the back.. I got under the car and looked fearing a cracked the block...but no hole...im going to do a leakdown and compression test tonight.

Yeah there has to be a pretty conspicuous area where that oil is coming from, shouldnt be hard to find. Good luck.

Thats even better, slap in your crank and some 88mm pistons and you have a 2.1.

Yes cheaper, yes strong, yes build, yes it will work. I was gonna say all that smoke could be from the oil hitting your hot exhaust, but all the missfires and shitty idle sounds like the kiss of death. Yeah I'd keep looking for a hole and do a compression test

Piston 1...zero compression looks like the piston rings failed...looking at the fmrs ldk block.. We think the oil came through the rear main seal it focused around the transmission

Sucks to see, part throttle tuning is key with turbocharged cars. Get a little part throttle boost surge...fuel doesn't catch up and she goes ka-pow

You can get 88mm pistons without boaring the block?

Hard to say, a lot of factors come into play. Weather, tuning, gas, how the car was driven and the power it was making.
