Side Exit Exhaust
I just completed my custom side exit exhaust. Here it is. Have a wot vid uploading now.
Here is a couple in car wot vids. The first one I have to let off do to spinning. It is to cold to stand outside the car so no vids out side. Sounds just like the others tho.

Heck yeah buddy.. Looks good! I especially like the oval tip on it.. I have a side exit as well, but mine has a round tip.. What size pipe is that? It looks larger than 3" in the pics

I've had the exhaust on my car for 9 months and have yet to have any issues with melting or burning the skirt.. Maybe your buddy accidentally mounted the tip a little too high and rubbed a bit when the motor torqued up? Don't know, just a guess..

Vids up.
It is still 3 in. I ordered a pipe from Dr. gass that goes from 3in round to oval. It is all round till the last straight piece, then I cut the tip, not bad for a sawsall. The oval pipe is like 3.5in but its only 1.5 high and still flows the same as a round 3in pipe.
I think it is louder than before, but my friends say it is about the same. The turbo whistle at cruising speed is pretty nasty tho. I am going to drive it for a bit in spring, if I think it is still to loud I am putting in a magnaflow straight through muffler.

ok so not to seem like a tart here, but where is the vid posted? Can't seem to locate it... I'm curious to hear how it sounds with the catless DP.. I'm running the stock DP and it's still pretty obnoxious at times

I like it. I just hate the gaping hole it leaves in the rear bumber
This is the reason I cut the tip like I did and painted it black. I am going to weld the tip in the back and see what it looks like.
lol.. now that should be interesting to see.. ****, it's so crazy that it just might work great though.. personally I've been trying to see if I can find a junked bumper somewhere and cut out a patch of some sort, but id be curious to see how your idea works..

I might be the person he was talking about with the melted side skirt. I have had the JR Side exit on my car for 2 months now and finally melted some of the plastic on it. However, ironically enough it did not happen until after I swapped my catless DP for my stock DP. Could it be that with the stock DP there is more restriction, thus putting more load on the turbo, thus creating higher temperatures? This might explain it.
