silonoid on intake mani
ok gm techs, on the lnf cobalts there is a little vac siloniod on the intake mani passenger side, it has vac hoses goin to it from the stock recerc valve, the lower charge piping, and from the intake mani, it also had the vac tank goin into it but i deleted it. soo my question is wtf does that siloniod accually do and is it needed. i have a tune for atmospheric bov from vince and maf relocation kit, and charge piping.. when i ran the atmoshperic bov to where the recerc went to the siloniod (like your sapossed to) the bov wouldnt open like it should, so i blocked the nipple off that went to the recerc and hooked the bov straight to the intake mani and i didnt experiance any problems and the bov worked as it should, its a brand new tial Q bov so its not a pos bov. i was just curious if it was a needed piece for tuning or anything because if not im gettin rid of it. thanks for your help..
yup, its for the stock BPV. if vince deleted the codes for the solenoid. you can unplug and remove it. I have the MAF relocation. But i still run the stock BPV with the Forge Motorsports upgrade. Buts its straight to manifold like you have it.
How you like that forge valve? Sound better?
So you have the springs that forge offers installed?
