i wont let anyone drive my car. I look at it like this. They didnt spend 1000's of dollars and weekend after weekend away from my wife and kids to build this motor/turbo setup.

Good luck with your girl. That is a big step. That is a good point, I would like a valet function where the boost is disabled when someone drives the car other than me. Which isnt often.

Ok so on to the update! Took the car to Zzp today and before I brought everything in they were tearing into it. Me and Tim talked alot about the car and potential an several other things. Dudes a great guy from what I can tell. Hell the whole crew is friendly! I just woke up at a hotel cuz I'd drove since 11 Wednesday night and Tim shot me an email already. they got the block out today and come to find out the fourth cyl wall has a nice lil crack. So I guess it's on to gen 3 girdled and possibly 5th injector with high boost to close in on high 400s whp? Lol don't know if I'll do the injecter can't afford it and a block and a trans so maybe this summer I'll hit em up for the injecter and trans but for now I've already emailed back and we are gonna go with the 3rd gen block

Yea but for some people they can't afford the down time. Just like in my case of being a full time student, playing D1 sports and working part time I would never have had time to do a motor build. My only choice was to outsource it to be built. With that being said, I would have been more then capable to do so, just not capable of the time haha

heres some pics of the damage....

The block had a small crack in the 4th cylinder so I decided to go with the 3rd gen girdled block and never have to worry again plus that block came with a yr warranty!

I understand, if I had more cash than time at the moment I would have done the same.

This thread is proof of why despite how much I love my SS, I don't like having a car which kids tend to purchase and mod.

Sounds like he dropped from 5th to 2nd to hit 10krpm....I had missed 4th and went to 2nd a few times in my SS when I 1st got it. Never let the clutch fully engage but it definitely wasn't revving nearly that high.

That is on every forum, go see ls1, jeepforum, jk-forum, full size bronco forum, dodge forum, pirate4x4 forum, and thats only the ones I can remember at the moment. Same stuff in everyone of them. It just happens to be more prominent with our cars.
