solo performance exhaust

Ok so the engine in our cars is the same as whats in a solstice gxp so has anyone fabed up or thought about taking the solo centermount exhaust from the solstice and putting it on our car or is there any exhaust out that sounds this good. I know you would have to mod the back bumper a little to make the current exhaust slot larger but i think it would be sweet.

Sounds kinda like my car. Not hard to duplicate with a catless DP and resonator.

we may have the same engine but it will never fit because the entire exhaust is different. The entire thing would have to be custom made.

Yeah i figured it would have to be custom done but if you just had the muffler you could run a 3 in pipe back then y pipe it before the muffler it should sound the same right

Any chance you have a sound clip of ur exhaust?

Anyone else have a sound clip id love to hear them. I know its hard to get the real sound of a car by a sound clip but im looking for an exhaust that is really deep like an srt-4 is a good sounding turbo car.

I do not have a good video camera so it would probably distort and sound like crap. In person it is deep and loud I have a 3" catless DP and a 3" catback with only a 5" round Borla XR1 as a muffler/resonator.

I spoke with Solo a couple months ago when my buddy got an exhaust on his G8. I pitched the idea of them developing an exhaust for the Cobalt, but they weren't interested in doing so at the time. They did however offer to build me a one off system for about $1000 for a turbo back.

That does sound pretty good. Do you have the borla xr1 where the muffler would be or up where the res. was

Thats not really to bad cause the turbo back system for the gxp is like 900+. I wonder if they would consider doing it for me.

Sorry if this is a tad redundant for those who have already seen this clip, but here is a clip of my setup. Full 3" turboback straight pipe with only a 4"x10'' resonator in place of a muffler

Its where the muffler would be. I dont believe the muffler will fit where the resonator would be. I could be wrong tho.

The solstice in OP's post is a 2.4 .... not a LNF. So i'm guessing its gunna sound different on a turbo car.

0o0o0o0o0ohhhh.. I just assumed it was a debadged GXP seeing as how he posted in the LNF section. Kind of like how I only took off my turbo badge. My bad...

haha.. yeah yeah yeah, I know I never got back to you.. :P Have you thought about giving Treadstone's straight pipe setup a try? Their aluminized steel straight pipe setup is something like $325 (and I think $450ish for stainless). That's pretty close to what I would end up having to charge for my same setup anyways, which is also aluminized steel mind you.
