Just some kind of reasoning why this is happening. I could give you a few reasons why they aren't coming out with stage kits, and ways that they could come out with stage kits that might be cheaper. I just want you to show some sort of factual reasons, instead of creating some bs thread. thats all

Ok. I made a post about this like 4 months ago. Or at least sometime during the summer. And this info I've gotten from my own sources within GM, and from other people on other forums that I've spoken to.
Around April-May of this year the GMPP stage kits that were coming out for the LNF suddenly got canceled (reason not known). My guess is due to GM's current financial situation, funding got cut.
Initially BOSCH was doing the tuning for the GMPP Stage kits for the LNF. Some employees working on them also left BOSCH, and that created more problems.
Last time I heard there was rumor that the funding started back up again, and that it was possible that the Stage Kits were going to be released by the end of summer. Then I heard that was only a rumor and not true.
So they won't be coming out this year that's for sure. Maybe next year. Maybe never. If anyone on here has any info share it!

1. Release some sort of ecu reflash, to accomodate for more boost out of the stock turbo so that it puts the lnf closer to 300hp.
However, I don't see gm releasing any stage kits like they did for the LSJ, because on the fact alone that direct port injection injectors are alot more expensive than injectors for the lsj, because they spray at a much higher psi level. I believe injectors for a DPI duramax diesel were like 800+ just for injectors alone. Now, I don't know what the IDC% is of the lnf injectors stock, but all of that comes into play at one point in time.
Thank you for a factual post BTW

no problem.
Here's the link I started originally. There's a lot of info there...
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...LNF+Stage+Kits
Since BOSCH originally did all the ECU mapping and what not for the LNF, it's obvious why GM was contracting the tune to BOSCH.
But yeah. Funding is getting cut. I just don't think GM is keeping their mindset on performance, especially when the LNF is offered on only the HHR SS, Cobalt SS, Solstice GXP, and Sky Redline. These cars are only small niche sellers.
Plus the Solstice and Sky from what i hear getting the axe in 3-4 years...

Also, there is NO need to swap injectors on the LNF to hit 300hp. The staged kits were going to consist of an additional knock sensor and a calibration.
