Sounds like staged kits for the LNF are dead...
Just some kind of reasoning why this is happening. I could give you a few reasons why they aren't coming out with stage kits, and ways that they could come out with stage kits that might be cheaper. I just want you to show some sort of factual reasons, instead of creating some bs thread. thats all

Yea, I heard this a long while ago too. Bosch is a bitch to work with anyways and charges too much.
No incentive for GM to do this, they don't make much money off of nickel and dime stuff like this, especially since it will lead to increased warranty costs on top of development costs. They can better put their money, resources, and employees on more productive things.

i can believe them not making and stage kits. bc theres been lots of talk that torque is almost maxed.. so if Gm did have some come out they would probably void warranty,, idk about you but i wouldnt buy gm products if they void my warranty... besides look at what hahn has out... and the gains they are showing... not bad numbers

everybody always "hears things" and thinks their special and have the inside track
okay news flash... it's very unlikely anybody on cobaltss.net knows someone high enough up in gm with that kind of decision making power...and the engineers, salesmen, whoever don't even know until the last minute either

Sorry I'm not going to say who my sources are, but I have sources at the GM Milford Proving Grounds, GM's Warren Tech Center even, and even some @ the Ren Cen.
I was told what engine was going into the CTS-V and around how much HP it had well before any of the websites like autoblog, leftlanenews, jalopnik even had info on it.
I also knew what the ZR1 had, and I knew approximately how much HP it was going to have months before it was released. I know how much HP it actually has. It's not 638hp like it's rated, maybe WHP but not @ the crank...
I also knew what engines, HP, mfr peformance stats's and approx pricing for the Camaro, stuff that the car magazines don't even know. Official pricing still hasn't been released, but I was given a very close figure.
information that I know you don't have.
Just trying to give some confirmed information as help on here.
I only posted on here as a response to the thread topic, and to back up Pete. I don't think I'm special because I know more "inside" information than you do actually.

Hello
so are you saying it may come out or may not come out?
Remember this is a MAYBE, not a for sure thing.
Thanks

Oh I worked for a large vehicle manufacturer as a financial analyst, I knew specs, pricing, cost, margin, you name it... But i never knew if it would actually be released or shelved.
Actually, every single department in a corporation knows of projects and specs coming in the future. warranty, qa, sqa, ndp, tooling, jigs & fixtures, purchasing, finance, scheduling, maintenance. They ALL know because they all have a part to play.
But the final decision to release or not release a new offering has and always will rest with the 7+ figure earning executives at the top of the corporation.
So I have no doubt plenty of people have "sources" such as engineers or accontants, but just because, for example, some engineer has been told by his boss to shelve the LNF kits for a while doesn't mean anything at all.
And then when this information is posted on the internet as "I know for a fact LNF kits are shelved" then I just laugh my ass off because I know the source of this information is probably just an engineer etc... and not the corporate CFO who probably will never even hear of cobaltss.net.
I'm only saying what I know for sure or what I was told that was confirmed by other peoples' sources.
So to the best of my knowledge all I know is that the GMPP Stage Kits won't be coming out this year....
Whether that means they'll be coming out next year or not at all, I couldn't tell you because I don't know...
Ok, I agree with you. Sorry I got a little defensive there...
Yeah all the info I knew was probably info a lot of employees, engineers had access to.
I'm also saying I don't know anything here for a fact as well. Just to the best of my knowledge and what I heard that was confirmed or compared to what people got from other sources...
Just so we're on the same page...
