I have a 09 TC, and I will say even with stock exhaust, it does have a slight flutter to it...reminiscent of a WRX but definitely not to the same degree. Maybe with your exhaust mods it's amplified that.

Maybe get us an exhaust clip?

Sounds like you got in it a bit before your oil was at running temp and you started to misfire. Rather then just clearing the code you should've checked it.

I've noticed lately that my car sounds kind of like a Subaru at idle. It's just something I've noticed though, all my friends say it sounds the same as it has all winter.

Does it sound like its coming from the turbo area? With the hood open and the car on listen back near the turbo. Is it just as loud there as under the car? The downpipe still bolted tight to the turbo?

Possible that the wastegate is jacked up

You do need a gasket yes. If you were asking if you need a new one, well that depends on the condition of the old one although it is recommended that you use a new one.

I once did a NLS while cold and started missfiring like crazy. Lost all boost and power and It sounded like one of the cylinders werent firing at all (subbie sound). Should have let the car rest for a minute or two, then shut the car down and restarted it. The subbie noise should then go away. Since your tuned, I wonder if the safety mode is removed?
