Spark Plugs

Well there is much talk on when you should change your spark plugs. Allot of people have said to do it every oil change or every other oil change when tuned. My first change was at 20k miles and I think it was much over due. All plugs that were pulled out where gaped at .30 and since the car was running good at that I put the new ones in with the same gap. Here is a pic with new and old plug side by side(sorry about the pic quality but they were taken with my phone).

As you can see the old plug is REALLY dirty, but all in all the electrodes look good and are intact. I would say a good cleaning might save them but I decided to replace them anyway. In my opinion you should check the plugs on a tuned car every oil change and if I would have done that and cleaned them every time they would have lasted me much longer.

The car has been tuned for 15k out of its 20k mileage. The plugs were pretty consistent in color and wear but it was defiantly time for something and next time I will not go so long without any type of inspection and I would suggest every LNF owner due the same, its quick its easy so why not. I am also glad I did not have to remove my CIA charge piping and that was a big plus, so it can be worked around.
