SS/TC BOV Opinions?
I wanna hear both sides, why are they good? why are they bad?
I love the sound of a BOV, ricey or not I like it, but I don't want it to mess **** up... so what do I need to know?

Get ready... People on here share strong feelings about both sides of this.
But I'll start. Your car might not feel like something is wrong with one but it's what you don't see that's getting messed up. Your fuel trims. Unless you can relocate the MAF and properly tune for it I wouldn't do it. Just my opinion though.

theres no advantage to the sounds BUT an atmospheric can handle a lot more boost then the stock bpv will ever be able to handle. ive found that the stock bpv starts to act up around 24-25psi. if you plan on going atmospheric then do it right by relocating your maf. if you dont want to do that then just stick with the bpv. this topics been beaten to death already.

If you relocate the MAF, you have to tune for it right? couldn't you just tune to run it atmospherically in the stock location? and if you run it on recirculate, do you have to tune for a bov at all?
I'm probably planning on going to use a atmospheric bov maybe a year or 2. End up using my Injen CP and get a BOV Flange welded on to it and get the MAF relocation done, but there is no point because stock turbo's doesn't push out enough pressure to support a external BOV, unless you upgrade to a bigger turbo. I'm afraid of going past 25psi and running into issues with either the pistons or the BPV going to flutter and causing it to rip the piece (forgot what its called). So there is no point going to a external bov, unless you like the sound or you add a bigger turbo to support the higher psi's.
You don't need to relocate your MAF. I spoke to Nick BYT*SS*TURBO about it. He tuned my car for it without relocating my MAF. I have an HKS SSQV and it works, looks, and sounds awesome.
Atmospheric BOV handles alot more PSI than the recirculating BPV. I would only do an Atmospheric BOV if your planning on getting a bigger turbo and running more boost than stock.

here is a site that sells BOV's and couplers, intercoolers, www.siliconintakes.com like OMG I saw the BOV's on there and they are dirt cheap then HKS and Greddy and look about the same. Tells you more information that you need to know more about BOV's.
