SS/TC Upgrades from Hahn RaceCraft
#26
Essentially forever...we've run these transmissions up to ludicrous power with no issues in other applications. It all comes down to not abusing it needlessly:
Slicks or Street Tires...What's best for driveline durability?

we are talking the stock transmission on the ss/tc?

Yes sir. The stock SS/TC Getrag F35 is a very evolved piece, improved once again for SS/TC over its previous iteration in SS/SC. We also use the predecessor to F35, the F23. It's in a Sunfire that so far has run 11.1 @ 132 in the 1/4 mile. This car has recorded almost 200 11 and 12 second passes on a pair of F23's, with slicks, with no failures.
The F23 and F35 are very well designed and internally robust. They are up to the task!

Here she is, in all her American Glory!
It's so sexy, I can't stand it! This color was MADE for Cobalt!
Development begins Monday. Can't wait to get the miles on her for some serious WOT fun! I'll be getting her out to the track in stone stock form too, just to see what I can achieve. I went 13.71 @ 100 in our bone-stock SRT-4 a few years back...this one may be even quicker, we'll find out!

Those Getrag Transmissions are really made to last, so I wonder why one of the GM spokes person said initially there wont be any staged releases for the car due to the transmission being at the limit for the power it could handle.

I'd presume he was talking about the theoretical limit that Getrag publishes. The LNF engine builds a fair amount of torque, well more than the LSJ. But that's OK. More upgrades for Hahn RaceCraft to do then!

We've already developed a version of or 3" Stainless Cat-Back to fit the car.
A Group Buy is here, there's still time!
PPC Tuner development has begun as well.
We are taking her to the track tomorrow for some fun!

Bill,
Since the exhaust was designed for the SC (soundwise) - would you consider fabricating the same exhaust without the muffler and only the resonator? I wonder with the cat and resonator if it would be just as quiet as the SC exhaust.
Much like the SRT4 exhaust.
I'd opt for an exhaust like this - esp if it costs less as well.

Well, that's awesome that you guys are jumping on board & making some parts for it. I would love for it to sound just like a SRT-4... Those are hot cars, but anyways... I hope to see at least a BOV!

We'll do some sound clips for y'all when we have it installed and let you listen!

I already know what that is!
Increase in boost to 18-19lbs (holding steady) with an exhaust, no cat. You lost a little backpressure. You may have run with an open airbox, too. I dunno.
