Stage Tuning coming

I will have my hands on the new OS and the new sensors in the next couple days. I will be doing preliminary testing to see what the kit does "As-is" and what it will do after my hands get on it.

What I saw posted in the other thread about ADM's results was not what was expected of this kit. Maybe the kit doesn't deliver the 18-19 psi that was promised, looks more like 22 psi to me, but I have not seen it first hand.

I will be testing this kit on a local car here, and obviously sharing the dyno results compared to stock, and then compared to after my revisions.

Something has to be done about this kit, and it needs to get onto some Cobalts!

How could they calibrate a 3 bar sensor on a 2.5 bar table without changing the OS?

They had to have, but I heard somewhere that the desired airload tables were the same as stock. Is that possible?

Well the two stage files I've seen have the same OS as the regular LNF (would explain how HPT had support as well) Bosch stuff is wierd, they dont operate the way conventional E series controllers do. Who knows, I just want to see how you make out!

The sensors just have a greater pressure range maybe they are calibrated the same as stock. That would definately explain why ADM was able to tune their HHR with HP tuners already.

Yeah, did they do a full retune, or just load the GM Stage file? Or did they do both?

Both last I saw, like I said Bosch controllers especially the MED9 family do things VERY differently than the E/Legacy controllers we are used to

Thay did both. They made 297 whp 354 wtrq with stock GM tune with intercooler, exhaust and downpipe. Then they modded the tune and made 332 whp and 395 wtrq. As I understand it the modded pull was made on 100+ octance and probably 24-26 psi. The Hp and torque really drop off up high though.

Someone needs to make cams for the LNF. Nothing too agressive but that would increase VE and hopefully top end Hp and torque after 5500RPM to until past 6300 RPM.

Or someone other than me can learn how to tune cams like me, and then the power doesn't fall off up there.

I came across that yesterday too with an 09 cobalt. It gave me an error that I had never seen before.

So when are you going to put on a black spoiler? It would look awesome with a black spoiler, leaving the uprights white.

Of yeah, I forgot that you can tune the stock cams with HP tuners, But if you are running more than 23 psi you will be getting well outside the stock turbo's efficiency range at the upper rpms. Retiming the cams will definately help though.

We shall see if they redefine them for us so we can see them. That way we don't have to buy stage tunes from GM. It would be nice.

Not that they can't figure them out, but that they don't think all tuners should have access too. They try to give you what you need, if they gave you access to everything then want to be tuners would just change everything just because you can.
