Stock Exhaust

How much Horsepower would you say the t/c exhaust can take...

I have done alot of reading and it seems the biggest restriction seems to be the down pipe.

I am on a budget and trying to decide where my money is best spent, I also dont necessarily want the noise associated with a "Cat Back".

Keep in mind any down pipe I install will be catted as I live in Cali...

Thanks for your thoughts,

Doug

The stock exhaust will be fine since you aren't going with a catless downpipe IMO.

The stock downpipe is the main restriction. The stock catback is actually not bad. You are probably only giving up 5 hp over an aftermarket performance exhaust catback.

Or get a CIA downpipe and not worry about the CEL cause it wont happen.

catted or cattless dp's are illegal in cali so if the reason you want a catted is because of smog, it dosen't matter you will fail the visual inspection ether way. so i would go catless, and keep your stock dp for smog.
