Stock mode vs Competition Mode Dyno?
Say what you want, but my car is faster in Comp Mode....weird.... not disagreeing here, but I can get out of the hole a lot better. There is at least one 1/4 mile slip around here that backs this up. Sure, 1 tune, but the traction control holds the car back. I have raced the same car twice with trac control on, and comp mode and the results differed. Just my 2 cents... something isnt adding up here...Disclaimer: This is just what I have experienced....
Sorry, I ment the how the traction control and the brakes work together to slow the front wheels when they are spining faster than the rears like when you do a burnout or when you are on the dyno. I thought turning the traction control was all that was needed to defeat that feature.
For my two cents I always thought the car was faster in comp too... I never thought to say anything until I stumbled upon this thread. It just seems so much more responive but then again I always tooled around and raced at night... Could be weather, being colder it doesn't take as much to boost up to 260hp? I don't know for sure just raising an eyebrow.
I had that exact thing happen on a dynojet during one of the BBQ/Dyno meets here in the summer. Car went ape **** at 5000rpm in normal and competetive mode. Needed to turn ESC OFF to get the proper run in.
