stock and running close to 20 psi
stock and running close to 20 psi
Well the other day i was doing some runs cuz i was bored( i was on a empty back road) and i glanced at my boost gauge and it hit close to 20 psi, now im wondering if somethings wrong? any ideas?
i test drove one it was always around 20-21psi.. . but gauge only said horsepower around 200. i chalked the 200 up to the whole "learndown" for the first 1000 miles or so i hear about.
granted i live at 6'200 feet. . . .

Something isn't right there, I've heard some people getting 16 and 17 psi but not 20
I only hit 14. whatever and most of the time tapers down to 13.8 so I probably am a little low but you sir are high
He's in Colorado where the air is less dense. The engine will require more boost to make the same amount of power as an identical engine at a lower elevation. Stock will run up to 21 psi to achieve the air load desired by the engine controller.
Don't worry, there's nothing wrong with your car. It's doing exactly what it's designed to do.

Yea mine is stock and sits at 15-16 psi 99% of the time..... dont think my elevation is much different than yours.
The instructions from Crate Engine Depot are --------> http://www.crateenginedepot.com/pdfs/frsp19212711.pdf
You can probably just look for any splicing in the wires for the sensors.
