I am wondering if I am running a bit too lean though... I am running about a 12.5 afr.
more power at 12.6. you aren't too lean at all. Not pig rich like trifecta 11's

I fail to see the hilarity in it?

Its better for our turbos to cool down before we turn the car off. Even if it is water cooled. I usually just take it easy for a minute before I park it.

Im really surprised no one has done this yet, it seems like there is room just in front of the motor. Mount it like the supercharger is on LSJ. The piping could than go into the intercooler next to the stock charge piping *or y pipe it?* And run an intake on the other side, or next to the stock one.

Wouldnt be the prettiest setup but it seems like it would work.

But, usually a big turbo on a 4 cylinder is more advantageous than 2 small turbos.

This is my second turbo car and I still let mine idle after driving it for about a minute or so, or just cruise with no boost my last couple miles, but still is it needed on our cobalts like some recommend on the solstice forums?
it is the same ******* car the same ******* turbo the exact same ******* motor except the compressor outlet is differently shaped but regardless

not necessarily, they dont work as hard, can have good boost at all rpm ranges, and you dont have really have to worry about maxing them out.

The bigger the turbo the less drivable and more lag there is IMO/ experience.

Sides Two turbos is way cooler! haha

However usually its CHEAPER to do a big turbo than 2 small ones

Our cars do not have a built in turbo timer but it does cool and lube the turbo when the car is off by a syfining effect from the hot and cool oil/water. This has been talked about many times on here.

I recognize that the solstice, hhr, sky, and cobalt have the same engine. I simply asked a question, which I got an answer for. So first, thanks for clarifying there is no turbo timer (I just thought that since the turbo doesnt have to cool down before shut off, that it must have some type of timer, my mistake) and second...

You really dont have to be a complete douche because someone was mistaken, and asked a question. Atleast I recognized that my above comment may have been taken out of context, and retracted it. It seems that every thread on here gets atleast one smart ass comment, from someone who either A. has a narcissistic god complex, or b. an inferiority complex. I imagine you and your other douchebag car buddies gather in a circle and ********** with engine oil, to the centerfold spread of the newest C&D. And in between all the nut fondling, and "my dick is bigger, NO!!! my dick is bigger" arguments, you all find time to hop on the nearest car forum, to point out how wrong someone is, ignorantly I might add, and how right you are, with your vast amount car knowledge. What I cant figure out is, among all the glorified pole stroking, and "brilliant" forum posting quiffs, when you're using one hand to type, and one hand to **********, how are you still holding your BFF's nuts? Maybe I should just ask how do you actually see the computer screen during this process or when you're all "lulzing" does it tickle?

Remember kids, just because you can type grown up words on a car forum, and use the word "****" appropriately, does not mean your ***** will grow any bigger.

Threadjack over...awaiting banstick.
