Synapse Engineering BOV
Synapse Engineering BOV
whos running it? also if your running it do you have any suggestions on which is the better flange to use? are you running the anti stall valve kits for MAF cars? post some pics up too if you have it.
i have it. Im running it recirc so no need for the anti stall kit. As for the flange im guessing your asking stainless steel vs. aluminum? most charge piping is aluminum so make sure to order that if you do. i have a crappy picture not showing the recirc portion of the setup. But what i did was run a black vinyl hose from the outlet of the BOV to the intake downstream of the MAF. The BOV requires 3 vacuum lines. 2 are boost/vacuum and 1 is boost only. Boost/vacuum comes from the line running to the stock bypass valve. boost only can be gained from the wastegate actuator or off the cold side charge piping on the MAP sensor. The red line is how i ran the boost/vacuum line. Any more questions or a better picture let me know. This setup will require an intake with recirc built in (1.25" required, most are smaller so you have to specify) and charge piping with the adaptor welded to it.
well what i mean by flange is you can get it with am hks, greddy rs, or tial bov flange. yeah i understand with the piping the flange has to be welded. yeah im going to run it so that it recirculates aswell but i wasent sure if that was needed. yeah please put up some more pics and what not.
boosted cobalt. if you already have the BOV u can just purchase the aluminum flange to get welded on your charge piping. Other BOVs use a smaller recirc fitting on the intake, make sure to specify 1.25" unless u wanna run 2 different size hoses between the BOV and intake.
Fast gear, as of now there is a 99% chance the kit isn't out for the cobalt, it is out for the hhr with the same engine tho, between problems with GM and getting the kit CARB certified, its taking a while. The cobalt kit is rumored to come with an intake also. Anyways i would let him do whatever he says he can to get 320/340. If he ***** up your covered, if not u will have the most powerful warrantied car. GET THE WARRANTY IN WRITING.

That happened with me. Contact the company u purchased the charge piping from and reorder the piece (not the entire piping set) that comes off the top the turbo and have it welded on. Since u have all kinds of love for CIA, maybe they will give some love back and give u a sweet deal.
would you recommend going with dejons tubing or hahns and having them just weld a flange on? also in another thread one guy has a rather large rubber tube going from where the air blows off back into the intake aswell as the 2 tubes that your recommend to use. any extra need for that?
