Synapse Motorsport 3" downpipe

We just finished up our stainless steel 3" downpipe on our cobalt ss/tc. We cnc'd both flanges in house for precise fitment with the stock components. It also features a flex section to allow for engine movement and daily abuse. The downpipe removes the restrictive factory catalytic converters.

Morgan will be putting the car on the dyno later today, look for those results here.

features:

-direct replacement no modifications required
-removes catalytic converters
-made in the USA
-madrel bent for free flow
-simple to install
-dyno results soon to follow

Introductory Special $299 shipped for cobaltss.net members.

notes:
*due to the removal of the catalytic converter, this downpipe is for off road use only, and not legal for use on US roadways.*

Wow, that is very nice, but what about getting some DTC codes. Is there a tune to dissable the rear O2 sensor?

tuning is still verrrrrryyyy limited....HP Tuners is working on the next update to be able to tune the TC tho which should allow the rear O2 sensor to be disabled.

Not needed...
Look closely at the pictures, the rear O2 bung is extended to avoid setting off the CEL associated with the cat.

precisely.

we are still doing some testing, but we havent had any codes yet. when the hp tuner software becomes available there will be a lot more we can do with this car, including our gt3076r turbo upgrade.

introductory pricing on these will be $299 shipped.

Very nice guys. Just curious, do you have any plans on making a downpipe w/ a cat?

Parts for the SS S/C would be nice as well...

correct me if I'm wrong but the PPC handheld tuner isnt a user adjustable tuning solution, it simply flashes a preprogrammed map. we would need something we can tune for our exact kit.

quoted from Hahn

"It's plug and go, with one highly developed program. End-user tuning is not supported at this time. The Bosch DI controller is a very exotic and hugely sensitive system that's not yet equipped with end-user friendly options. So, we take all the stumbling and guesswork out of it."
