taking off the bov recirc tube

alright, i have a rubber recirc tube that routes the bov to the intake. i took it off once and blocked the intake, pretty much creamed my pants every time it sneezed but i put it back on because i was afraid it would be unsafe without a retune. question is would i be ok with the hose off for a few months until i get retuned again in the fall? wondering if that extra burst of air after the maf is throwing the trims off a bit

I would guess....that would throw a code and the car operations would be altered eventually cause you are letting metered air out into the atmosphere...

edit: Oh wait i saw you blocked the intake...duh..um well then...not sure =S

I run an atmostpheric BOV and have no issues, all it does is spike rich for a quick second after you let off. Your fine. But be sure to capped that hole on the intake.

I would not run with it off since you were tuned and adjusted with it on. It will throw off the trims on decel and may cause a MAF code with limp mode.

Not sure on that, but I dont think so. You just run a little rich betwen shifts.

You won't notice a difference other then it may start throwing maf codes and triggering a limp mode from it. If you want to leave it VTA, move the MAF to the cold side pipe and get retuned is my .02.

I was kind of wondering the same thing except it takes me to be damn near under full boost for mine to blow off. When normal driving i get what sounds like surge between shifts. I am tuned for it and it used to blow off like normal. I am lost. Dont mean to thread jack!
