we just don't have the backing that other platforms do. That's what happens when you decide to be different. And we do have the backing, just not from every company under the sun. And there aren't many impressed by srt's on here. Maybe two years ago.

yeah he does have a good idea. being the fact that this car will be discontiued i dont see a huge platform for this car at all. you have the select few right now......hahn racecraft, clear image automotive, injen and a few others. the srt is to me a more popular car and came out when all the hype for a tuner car was going on...such as with the evos srt4 sti etc. gm put out the supercharged version which has quitea bit of parts. personally i think the turbo model is and should have been the route to go to begin with. i think that being the case there would have been a lot more companies intrested in the fact that these cars have the ability to make power. hopefulley some more vendors come forward.

its true... each company would be making parts left 2 right...not every company was making the same parts.. like as it is right now... each company was popular for there specific paftermarket part...why would i go buy another srt-4 when i think the cobalt /tc has pontential?

I dunno, dont listen to him. personally I came from the 2000 tiburon. No parts, no vendors, no support. Managed to find plenty of stuff to differentiate my car from the rest. To me there is plenty of vendors on this sight. Just need someone to get into making more interesting performance stuff. lightweight trunk (CF?) or a nice OEM CF hood. Internals for the T/C need to be investigated!!!

Besides you don't even need a vendor to get rods or pistons. Call wiseco or eagle directly and they will make you whatever you want.

More venders does mean lower prices and more competition which usually drives the development of better products.
