um no. fuel trims are not active at wot in the lsj. it holds whatever trim number right before PE is entered.

yeah, so Dart is tuned for the 29psi max he gets, then lowers it to 24psi when driving around town...i get that, so how does that mess things up?

anyways, no need to have a tuner battle, but i guess my threads always cause debates...lol

yep. my boost tapers too, so its not like im holding 29psi. lol. and i rarely ever crank it that high. not trying to blow my **** up.

your stock internals can handle 400whp just fine. theres many members over 400whp on stock internals who havent popped. its all in how you drive and how good the tune is.

that being said, you should guinea pig that werks bolt on turbo. it looks interesting.

First off the point was dart said he drives on a whatever daily tune he's on and his race file (lol 29lbs) for whenever. So therefore te thoughts is he's just changing **** over to whatever he wants. So therefore that is why I commented why I did.

Also ltft still run ( if trims are off) wot . Stft does not.

Set aside about $700 for another used LSJ Trans too. Yours WILL break. It's not a maybe, it WILL break. Especially on a turbo that's gonna make nasty amounts of torque early like that WR2 or EFR will do.

^X2. i didnt think mine would break but it did. lol. i dont even hit full boost till 4k too! the wr-2 and efr will definently have more tq down low.

and yes, keep an eye out for an lsj trans if you can. i got mine with LSD for 750 (thank god)

otherwise youre going to have to pay full price from zzp.

so, in your mind him moving the pressure level around to whatever he wants is causing a problem?

hmm interesting.

whats even funnier is that when i was tuning his car, thats what i did. started low and went high, then back down to check trims.

keep arguing lsj tuning with me. that will amuse me.

lol. no they are 5 speed. the trans itself is exactly the same, but the final drive is lower. stock is 3.82 and the lsj is 4.05.

05 06 07 COBALT MANUAL TRANSMISSION | eBay

damn, $1000 for a used tranny with twice the miles than my car...geez

i believe we talked about this before, but the 4.05 will change the top end, therefore making the gears go faster correct and the top end lower?

yes. but unless youre doing long ass highway pulls, you wont notice.

you will notice that 1-3 feel faster. especially 1st its sooo short and with this power its completely useless.

to put it in perspective, at 60mph in 3rd gear im right on 4k

at 40 in 2nd, im right on 4k

4k is my sweet spot on this turbo so im loving it.

dont get the obx lsd. its cheap garbage.

i have a broken trans sitting in my garage with a good LSD on it. dont know how to remove it tho. lol. the rest of the trans is junk though.

and the lsj trans doesnt really affect mpg's. i still get like 32mpg going 75-80mph.
