Things to get before a tune?
I am getting ready for a tune as well. I have been following this thread since it started. There is a lot of talk about the hot side charge pipe. Why not the cold side? Are there any benefits to the cold side? Would the car be a lot more reliable with hot, cold and IC? I know ZZP makes a whole cooling kit and I think Turbo XS as well. Any input?

people mostly talk about the hot-side only because its the main one to fail, then the plastics on the intercooler. nothing has ever happened to the coldside, but might as well buy the whole kit if you plan on getting it all...

Well, now that i have been tuned, and seen what was needed to be reliable and more powerful, i wish i could have done it all over again.
1. Downpipe
2. Muffler delete with a dump so my rear bumper doesnt get nasty
3. Injen hotside pipe with upgraded mpx couplers
4. Intercooler
5. Dejon or k&n intake
6. Ky stage 3 or 4 clutch
7. Forge bpv
then a 24psi tune...now i am having to go back and get a clutch, intercooler, and forge bpv because the power was too much even with a conservative tune

Well, zzp has good quality products, but the design of the injen is much better in my opinion, as long as you get the upgraded couplers too, plus the zzp tube/filter is a factory looking and sound product that adds half the power of a real intake system..so, i cant hear the turbo like you would with a real intake system...plus, i was scared the cattless downpipe would be really loud, so i got a catted turbo-xs, which is a very nice piece btw, but wish now i would have went catless because it isnt loud at all, even with a muffler delete which is what i have as well.
