Do you like your SRI? I am thinking about getting an intake but been reading and I will sooner or later get a bigger inter cooler. So do you like it or do you wish you would of gotten an CAI? And who did you get yours from and who all makes SRI?

Thanks,

I sold the Dejon SRI I had. I wasn't happy with the attachment to the turbo, lack of mounting bracket or the MAF flange attachment. Ran it 2 weeks with no codes but I'm waiting for the Clear Image Automotive SRI to come out if I do it again. I may do the stock air box mod this weekend and look for a silicone coupler to replace the stock accordion pipe at the turbo sometime.

I was questioning doing this to the stocker. Does the accordion piece actually come off? It looks attached. I'm also curious that since all these MAF readings fucked up on aftermarket intakes, could you replace the accordion piece, then attach an actual cone filter to the end of the beginning of the actual air box. Of course you would have to cut your factory air box in 2 separate places, but wonder if it would work.

i have the dejon and its ok. but id leave it at ok. i got the small k&n filter instead of attaching the breather to the intake. fitment is poor at turbo like ppl said but hasnt come loose on mine even tho it seems like it could. and the lack of mounting bracket kinda sucks. other than that, no codes, better airflow, nicer sound, and i felt a power increase before learn down.

btw i didnt vote caz i neither love nor hate it. i wont be goin back to stock or with a cai either tho. ill probably get a clear image sri when they come out.

Wait to see what ClearImage comes out with for their SRI. On a turbocharged motor you want the intake tubing to be as short as practical so the turbo is not having to work to pull air through all the extra piping. When the air hits the turbo, the 20 or so degrees of cooler air will be more then canceled out when the turbo compresses the air. Then it all goes through the same intercooler, bringing the temperature back down to where it would be whether you have a CAI, SRI or NOI (no intake )

Hum and the SRI is suppose to be cheaper too. I guess i could wait till the CIA comes out with their SRI. I have not herd nothing bad about their stuff and the explanation you just gave makes a lot of sense. So I suppose I will wait for the SRI from CIA.

Is there any release info on the CIA SRI yet or no?

Thanks sponge14

yeah, I picked up their CAI on the group buy. I was sick of waiting. Either intake from them and you'll be good!

They have actually done R&D on their products and can stand behind them. Which is why I don't mind paying a premium over other brands (eg - dejon)

yup, same here ... with MAF errors all the way up to 5%, plus shitty connections, you're better off saving your $$ on something superior

trust me.

you odn't want to go cheap or something with fitment problems. The MAF is the heart of this car.

Great! Some people might disagree but they relocated the MAF sensor for a reason
