I had a sri on my ms3 and am now looking at getting one for the SS. CIA seems to have the best one so I cant wait to see what they release.

I was talking to them about a cold air box for their sri as well... would you guys be interested in a cold air box? Cobb had one in development for the ms3 but dropped the platform but the dropped temps from their sti one were very good.

Heres the cobb one:

Highway Driving:

COBB Intake no box: Max 124 degrees F, Avg. 91.6 degrees F
COBB Intake with box: Max 108 degrees F, Avg. 74.9 degrees F
Difference of: Max ~16 degrees F, Avg. ~16.7 degees F

City Driving:

COBB Intake no box: Max 149 degrees F, Avg. 117.4 degrees F
COBB Intake with box: Max 111 degrees F, Avg. 87.5 degrees F
Difference of: Max ~38 degrees F, Avg. ~29.9 degrees F

Idle (~5 mins):

COBB Intake no box: Max 149 degrees F, Avg. 133.5 degrees F
COBB Intake with box: Max 113 degrees F, Avg. 99.2 degrees F
Difference of: Max ~36 degrees F, Avg. ~34.3 degrees F

that's what should of happened, but it didn't ... it's confusing as the LTFT's are avgs of the STFT's I thought

Maybe it's actually a summation.

Ex:

If STFT: -1... -3... 6.... -4... 8...
Then LTFT: -1... (-3)= -4... (+6)= 2... (-4)= -2... (+8) would then be 6.

So it got a very negative LTFT by having a bunch of negatives overall for the STFT.

Just a thought.

its a box that surrounds the sri intake so it would be specially made to fit the TC...and theres room from the pics that are posted.

Because initially the STFTs were close to -14 that is why they became LTFTs. Once the LTFT settles in the STFTs become closer and closer to 0.
