The best time I had gotten previously was ~4.6 seconds with the AEM intake at 24psi (4.9 seconds at 21 psi) I bet once I get it fully dialed in at 24 psi I will be able run an honest 4 seconds flat. The Hahn intake has enormous top end compared to any of the other intakes.

Thanks Steve.
You're gonna make me end up getting a Hahn intake and putting my paw up real nice for MAF tables.

Because good MAF tables DOOOO make a huge difference.

The nicest thing I have found with the Hahn intake is the top end flow/MAF frequency is very consistant. Makes it easy to dial in the WOT settings. Midrange is another story as Term can attest to. A lot of time is spent getting the low & midrange MAF correction right.

Yep. I basically started from scratch now. Trying my normal method this time.

I didn't think it was that bad to tune to be honest. Took a lil longer then the box modded intake but not nearly as long as the Dejon SRI car I tuned.

I had the opposite experience for some strange reason. I did not use my normal method to begin with like I should have though. I got it pretty close in one shot using my normal method. LTFT was -0.8% and STFTs were within 2% except for one area.

Nah no codes. It will run a tad rich sometimes with that particular intake. The ECM will do the best it can to compensate but it is good at over and undercompensating (especially overcompensating) as far as adjusting the fuel trims.

So the Clear Image Auto intake is total garbage? lol Is there anything that can be done to make it do things "right"? Basically, you're saying get rid of it and buy Hahn.. Just want to verify b4 I try to sell it and get a Hahn. I haven't installed it yet.. been sittin in the box since the end of September; didn't want to bother putting it on so close to winter and I'm about ready to do it in the next week or two when my pipes arrive. The car will be re-tuned by HPTuners in my area when I do this work. Will this fix the issues or does it not matter, just get a Hahn?
Thx for the answers to my questions..

Maybe your car will be different but I did not see any gains when I tuned PrincessTurbo's car for his CIA CAI. He is at 6,000 ft above sea level so the density of the air is much lower so you might see better results at sealevel.

This MAF turbulence at idle is probably the worst part of adding an intake onto your car. I can see the car advance and retard timing bc of it, you can feel it too

^ I remember you saying that. I'm gonna do it when it's not raining.

What'd you use to cover it? I was thinking some form of tape as it's arched ....

Good ole Duct Tape lol

If you want to get crazy, I have sheets of ABS plastic we could cut to fit, then glue into place.

I had to put a "hat" over the top of my intake because when it rains really hard water gets onto the headlight bracket and drips right onto the top of the filter. I may cover that hole above the fog light as well because when I wash my car a lot of water gets into there.

I'm good with the duct tape / electrical tape.

If it helps with the rougher idle, then I'll do it in the garage tonight!

Last time I washed my car I left it running and it had some wacky ass fuel trims when I got back in the car. I noticed that hole above the fog light when I installed it but thought, NAH can't get in there... Well it does LOL. When Im behind a tractor trailer and the air is real turbulent, the STFTs sine wave a bit! This helped greatly!!!

Def will help and it's easy to do and takes almost no time.

The question is... did you lose any air flow on top?

^^ true. Just have to keep it in place until it dries up completely. I'll prob just go the tape route though.

I doubt you will lose any airflow from the 1x1 hole above the fog light

This I would assume is true, but you never know. Just wondering if you have compared the logs? I won't lose any airflow since I'm on the stock box, lol.

I noticed no change in performance, I didn't actually look and compare the logs but I did take one this morning. So Ill check later and see if there is a difference, I really doubt it tho!

My litter box mod not acceptable Tom? LOL Works great but I think it is still getting a little wet from the fog light hole. Need to check next time I wash the car.
