Thoughts on LNF Turbo Ugrade

Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance

Has anyone gotten this upgrade or have any thoughts or advice about it? Being a chick I don't really know everything I should know getting involved in major upgrades. Any help would be appreciated boys.

I don't personally have that kit but my advise 2 you would be to go to your auto parts store and look for a Turbo performance book or any other material to educate yourself on the mechanics of your car. If your patient and don't cut corners you could do the kit yourself but having a Guy help with some of the more stubborn fasteners would help. Good luck.

do you just want a quick car or a retardely fast car?

That ZZP kit is good for making 450whp. Thats alot of power!

You could just try you car with a tune and see what happens. You might be just satisfied with that.

intake, tune, downpipe, charge piping, Intercooler and that will surely satisfy you. trust me, lol.

This^^^ But matt from ZZP is very helpful if you have any questions just PM him and he can get you on the right track and if your stock you could get a DP and a tune and i think you would be happy unless you are looking for stupid power like cuda said.. But remember your gonna need a clutch and valve springs to get the most out of the kit.

If your car is still stock, get a downpipe + tune, and enjoy. When you become bored of that power, upgrade the turbo. I would wait for the bolt-on efr upgrade from zzp if I was you. Plus most parts like downpipe, charge pipes etc will still fit. So you can get bolt-ons now, and upgrade the turbo later.

Thanks guys, got the car right when it came out, ready to do some real work with it. Maybe I'm stupid, but I feel like I'd rather go big or go home. Rather not bother with the small stuff. But we'll see what happens, still undecided how crazy I want to get.

You will need bolt-ons anyway if you get a turbo upgrade, i would also suggest to start with a tune and a downpipe for a first , you will for sure be surprised how quicker it is than stock with just a tune+ downpipe.

This is my thoughts as well,

$3000 for turbo upgrad, 350-400(or more..)hp reliably.. we will say

or $700-800 for a downpipe and tune... 300hp

The tune and DP is great bang for the buck, but im saving for the turbo upgrade kit myself.

That way I dont waste any money, and can smoke the 'bolt on' crowd.

I like your style.. i'm doing the same thing right now only downside is driving a slower car for awhile I'll have my upgrade done in a month so not too much longer The rest of the car is done so its the last piece to the puzzle besides a transmission.
