tired of throwing a cel with a catless dp?

its called a defouler. get one.

sorry, but i see this all to often, ppl saying theyre getting codes and dont know what to do. all you have to do is weld or screw in a metal tube where the 02 bung is to move the 02 sensor away from the down pipe. as a result less heat and gas goes to the 02 sensor and it wont burn it out or throw a code. pretty much the same principal as the angled 02 bung that comes on some of the downpipes.

i have yet to hear or see anybody talk about using a defouler as a solution. i could be wrong tho, i know this works on hondas and most other cars.

it could throw a code over time. it will definently wear out your 02 sensor sooner than normal.

thats if your tuned. the ppl who plan on staying stock or going gms1 could benefit from a defouler. warranty stays intact. im not getting an aftermarket tune till the warranty is up.

Most of the DP's come with a defouler built in for the 2nd O2, and that isnt the code we are throwing anyway Its 2237 - O2 pumping circuit.

Can't you just clear the code with a code reader/clearer. I know it would probably come back eventually but wouldn't that work aswell?

yes, it would work. however if you ever plan on going back to stock or something, your 02 sensor is going to be bad.

Why would your O2 be bad from clearing a code? You have a lot of misinformation going on...

bad=fouled, dirty, contaminated, for being exposed. defouler pulls sensor away from gases (clearing a code dont do that).

his info seems spot on

All of the LNF downpipes come with the angled bung/defouler piece already. The code we are throwing isnt a cat efficiency code, its a 2237 O2 pumping circuit code. Not related..

Not to mention the 2237 code is sensor 1 bank 1..

If someone with a catless DP gets this code do they have to have it removed by a tuner (HP or Trifecta) or would clearing it with a reader/clearer work? Is there any adverse effects to clearing this code?

Orrr...disable the related CELs like we HPT guys do ...oh and defoulers don't ALWAYS work. They are a lot like the angled O2 bungs...you'll probably never throw a code for being too rich...but there are plenty of other rear O2 related codes you can throw with these things. Just sayin.

Or you can delete the code with HPT.

That's the ghetto way.

I was talking about 'Honky Boy's' headlights, 1. They are too blue 2. They appear to be HID's installed in stock halogen housings.
