Trans fluid

Anyone know what type, how to check how full it is, and where to fill it at? I'd look in my owners manual but it's for an 07 SS -_-

Just did the clutch on my balt and now it's a wee bit low on trans fluid. Any help would be awesome.

It will be some kind of LSD lube. Call your dealer and ask.

^That's wrong. Ours is a closed diff and that's a common mistake people make. Either Dealer only or Redline MTL. I just tried the MTL and I like it so far.

My bad. I only have 13K miles, so I haven't even started looking into this. That's why I suggested calling the dealer. That's what ima do.

Red Line MT-85 is a good match for the LNF fluid. Same viscosity as Castrol SynTrans, which is what the LNF GM fluid is. It is also a GL-4 fluid same as stock. MTL is a bit thinner and MT-90 is thicker but both GL-4 specs. Do not use a GL-5 NS or GL-5 fluid in our trannys. It was designed for GL-4 fluid.

Like BYT posted, we have a sealed diff.

Id check for leaks when ever possible cracks and so forth. Fluid wise, depends on the person. I change mine every 25k miles but I don't think u need to till 100k or so. I am about 80% sure not 100% lol.

I eventually had my uncle dig it up because I needed the info pretty fast, sorry guys. Which was good cause for some reason ALL the dealership was pulling up was the LSJ fluid -_- Focking dealership pulled the trans out, looked at my clutch told me it was fried. They let out almost a full quart of the trans fluid doing it and didn't fill it back up and I beleive the full capacity is just over a quart. jackasses.
