Transmission leaking.

Having an extremely small tranny leak from the bottom left of the transmission right by the drain (no not from the drain).

Think I am going to have problems with the dealership with my mods? I know pay to play, but a leak on the transmission at 9000mi. Come on now. (already had 2 oil leaks)

They will have to prove the mods caused the leak. Good luck to them. You should be fine. Call anonymously and ask a dealership in another state.

I used to think this as well, however, after a friend had his warranty voided for missing a screw on the ecu box (dealer fault as well) and fighting that, we came across this loop hole.

The moss-magnuson act states that in order to void a warranty, they must prove that the aftermarket part caused the failure. "They" refers to the warrantying company, in this case GM. The majority of the shops are subcontracted. They have the legal right to refuse work. If the shop feels that the aftermarket parts were the cause of the failure, and they do not believe that they will be able to have GM pay for the warranty work, they will refuse the car or have you pay out of pocket WITHOUT proving anything. (it is more work/effot for them to have a warranty evaluation agent come out and inspect the car, and if they feel the conclusion would be the result of aftermarket parts, they typically skip over this hassle and just tell you that you either pay to have it done, or take it elsewhere)

yea great idea. Then the insurance company investigates it and you could win the first prize, some time in jail and maybe even be Bubba's girl friend

Its a very, very feint leak it's hard to tell if it's clear, with some dirt, or red. I could only get maybe a finger tip of fluid when wiping. (I work at a shop so I catch this stuff early I always inspect).

I'm 90% sure it's transmission fluid as it's coming out of that case right there, and not from the clutch area as well.

I just hope the case isn't cracked, and they blame the mods.
