There are only a few cobalts that have this thing in general. I don't think any HHRs have it. I'll come by your house to pull the tune on you SC and we can measure some stuff and see if it will fit on the HHR, since I do have that IC.

For mine (just the regular TR8) I did not need to do any drilling or cutitng. In fact the whole stage 3 kit went on just fine with no drilling or cutting... well minus the sawzall vs exhaust (haha sawzall won). Taking off the fron bumper helps greatly during install.

Also it will give me practice so I know what to unbolt and in what order.

wait are you in L.A? are you going to the meet?
Well you could do it there yourelf/with help and find out what's up with installing it. It would be real sweet if we could get before and after dynos. I don't know of anyone, except Hahn, who has done back to back dynos w/wo IC swap. BTW I would only expect gains (if any at all) after hot soak. This really isn't a *power* mod...reliability is the real benefit...but that hasn't been established either. As you are aware, there had been problems with other ICs cracking. Not saying that's the case here though. The only possible potential *problem* would be with the hoses on the end tankings with this set up.
Oh..I'm in San Fernando Valley area in So Cal.

Again, the Treadstone imprinted connectors I received are silicone 4-ply, no visible difference from the Vibrant couplers I have.

Treadstone - just an fyi....the tr10 does not bolt up to an hhr ss.....maybe a tr8???? i had to modify (cut) the crash bar (nothing to affect structural integrity i don't think) and modify the mounting tabs and use 60mm long bolts to mount it up. A very long and frustrating install...............................the right tools...an angle grinder vs. a cordless dremel....would have helped

The ic is awesome though...great quality!!! All in all i am happy with the product. No fault of yours but I ASSumed that it would bolt right up just like most all the other parts do with the hhr's.

Glad to see you could get it to work...
do you have an installation pics, and a notation of what is needed for it to bolt up?

i did not take any pics but i had to cut sections about a half inch thick and about 4 inches long out of the top and bottom sections of the inside of the crash bar on the left side only (left when looking at front of car) due to the end tank of the radiator. the radiator is different on the hhr than the cobalt....the cobalts is shorter and wider with the end tank on the right....hhr's is much taller and narrower with the end tank on the left.

I had to cut about an inch off of the mounting bracket on the right side (again facing the front of the car).....for reasons i could not understand, there is less clearance on the right side vs the left.

Neither mounting bracket fit up to the mounting bolt in the crash bar properly.....the left side bent itself into a reasonable fit when i added a bolt to tighten it down while the right side didnt come close as it stuck out over an inch and didnt even come in contact with the mounting bolt on that side....i solved this by removing the 30mm long mounting bolt in the crash bar and replaced it with a 60mm long bolt. The IC cant move anywhere due to being WEDGED between the crash bar and the rdiator.

The install is far from pretty but im confident that it is secure and overall it looks great....with the bumper cover on that is

one thing i would sugguest is instructions of some sort as mine did not come with any. Maybe the cobalt is more self explanitory.

I may take some pics and post them up later on this week.

Overall great product....2 thumbs up!!!!!

nah, you shouldnt need it. I have the ZZP upper charge pipe with the stock coupler and the stock lower charge pipe. IC fit just fine. The stock rubber coupler are a pain though.
