trifecta select a tune issue

new to the club alough i have spent countless hours reading forums for our car and you guys are great now on to the issue i have had a trifecta selectable tune since april 23psi and stock last nite i was on a long road in mexico and another 08 tc pulls next to me with my tune on i put quite a few car lengths on him from a 40roll to 125 i am not tuned for dp yet as its in the mail i have datalogged a few times with vince and everything looks great according to his replys i was only retuned once now i ran this guy from a 40 again and did not have tune on keep in mind his car is completely stock and im learned down to supposedly 260 ftlbs he initially puts two car lengths on me and we both have two people in the car by the time we hit 3rd he has at least 3 car lengths on me i was nlsing the whole time durning stock run as was he and shifting at 6000 when we were done he took me for a few pulls in his car and it felt quicker than mine stock i have also noticed that my boost builds slower than what i have seen in videos but still hits 15 and spikes 17 high in the powerband in stock mode holding the whole time initially i had an issue with my injen cp back when i got it it blew a couple times so i rlaced the clamps with tbolts but i dont think im boost leaking because im holding 15 and 23 just seems to build slower the only thing i have come across is the wastegate rod adjustment on the forums any help would be greatly appreciated and no its not driver mod and no he wasnt brake boosting his car stock for stock pulls harder is it possible that the selectable tune could be causing this i have reflashed before but didnt feel a difference i just wanna make see if any others have had similar issues

Oh my God, there was not a single period in that whole post, and at least 16 words spelled incorrectly!

Sounds like your tune. My select a tune didn't even feel like it pulled much harder than stock with the tune on when it was hot outside.

LOL, I just tried to edit it for him. But it's just too far gone, Possibly the worst post of all time.

Food for thought: Does anyone think Vince dumbs down the stock tunes to make the difference between "Stock" and "Tuned" that much more significant? My car feels pretty damn slow when the tune is turned off, but maybe it's because I am used to the extra 9psi... Who knows.

I'm sorry about my punctuation. Thanks for all of the replies. Do need a wastegate rod adjustment? I just want to be sure that nothing is wrong with my car, I mean i should not have been beat by the same car by that many car lengths. I was thinking maybe a boost leak, but wouldnt i have blown an intercooler pipe by now with 23psi?

when i have just my stock tune in it feels faster than when i have select a tune but on stock mode. the 23 psi tune will build slower cause it has further to go. it seems slower but its just that ur boosting more so it responds different, i notice it to, more boost, more lag. his car may be putting down more whp than urs in stock form, as someone said all cars are different and if u check stock dyno sheets, the hp differs as well.

IF there is something wrong it could be many things....boost leak (and you may not know about it i just found one that was very small and no codes thrown or anything)....spark plugs...map sensors....maf sensor...

look for any leaks...do a boost leak test...check you plugs and their gaps...clean your sensors...etc if you think there is something wrong. eliminate possibilities one by one

really no need to adjust the wastegate rod....just make sure that both nuts are in place.

If you beat the guy on the power tune but not in stock mode then I dont think there is anything wrong with your car. Honestly, probably a driver mod issue. If you had issues with the car you would notice it on both sides of the tuning. Your hitting and holding your boost on the power side and your also hitting and holding stock boost on the stock side.

Stock IS pretty slow when you get used to the power side of things. Your fuel trims are a global table that applies to both sides so I doubt thats your issue either. I just think you didnt get a good run in on the stock side is all.
