Trifecta switchable tune update!
Unless they have a recall for the flash like they had for the ss/sc. If my memory is correct, the ss/sc had to get another flash for some reason.
I am going to have to say vince your the MAN!

Now if GM releases a new factory tune down the road they might try to put the new tune on the ECM - if this happens we can get the tuner/cable back out to the customer to restore the custom tune.
Your some what on track, but a lot of the members of this forum their parents bought them their car. So they will try to get warranty work on stuff they knew they caused to fail. I've seen it happen. But it would be stupid to void the warranty if you had different bulbs in your car and your tail lights burned out. Dealers are no where near innocent at all, so you shouldn't cut them slack anyways. I've blown 16 map sensors now on my 09 ss with 4k mi with a k&n filter that is all. They have been nothing but try to treat me like ****. They offered to swap my car for a new one since they cant fix the car but wanted me to pay $1,408 to do so. My favorite part is the ***** general manager goes "Even if we gave you a new cobalt, your driving would blow that map sensor too." all I could say was I forgot I bought an aveo and not a cobalt ss. **** Stonebriar Chevy and **** all dealerships. Just claim everything you can :P
In fact I can probably patch up the tune so it doesn't complain about the MAP sensor anymore. ;-)
Is there something specific you'd like me to explain or do you want me to just review the new tune features?
Sometimes this happens, sometimes it does not. But all of our tunes start with the very latest factory flash and we build on top of it so anybody that didn't have the latest flash before, will, after they buy our tune

I don't usually comment on stuff like this, but, this totally sucks, man. I'm really sorry this happened to you. I know we've talked about this issue on the phone a few times, just let me know if there's anything I can do.

The new tune is available now both through Clear Image Automotive for mail order and through our local dealers - just check with them for pricing.

Oh, lol.
We offer our tune through two different channels - you can find a local dealer that can install it for you using their equipment (laptop, software, and programming cable) or you can order it from Clear Image Automotive and we will send you either a handheld programmer that you download the tune to the car with (or a programming cable if you have your own laptop computer). When you're finished with the equipment you ship it back (using the prepaid return shipping label) and you're good to go.
In either case, we program the ECM through the diagnostic port.

Of course any other tuning solution does not know how to edit our alternate tune tables, but we structured the select-a-tune mod so the stock tables were in a new location and the "custom" tables were in the stock location so users of other tuning solutions could still take advantage of select-a-tune and hide-a-tune.
You can have the custom tune triggered by any one or combination of the following:
Cruise control master enable turned off
Competition mode on
ESC off

Hi Vince, I put an order in through Clear Image Automotive last night for the new tune. How long do I get to use the data cable. The reason I ask is that I need to install my CIA dp still. Hard to get the time with 3 kids one of them being 3 weeks old.
When you have a chance, send me some email, we'll discuss there...
Vince, how does/will the dyno tuning work; i read that we can data log the tune on a dyno and you will fine tune it? Do you think doing this would make the overall outcome of the tune that much better or not a significant difference?
2 Questions..
1. How do you put the car into comp mode? Is there a switch or something? I think this may be a feature of the SS/TC but I'm a 2.2 owner so I'm not entirely familiar with the LNF cars.
2. Would some kind of switchabl programming be available for the 2.2 in the future?

Hahah modding the family truckster FTW! My 2 year old tells me FASTER DAD ,FASTER.
All custom tune orders from us include data analysis (datalogging and/or dyno charts) and follow-up tuning as part of the tuning fee.
I think it's funny how there are still all the nay-sayers.
Vince has the tune setup to give the Tech 2 scanner your stock ECM calibration codes while still allowing the ECM to self diagnose itself.
So other then the Tech 2 scanner, how are you going to determine a tune?

They will send the control module back to GM (or bosch) if they suspect tampering. I'm not against tunes or modding your car , I just think people need to man up when something breaks because of it.
You say how safe this is ....... Does anyone really know what these motor's are gunna look like after 100K miles with a tune??? Sure no one has had a problem yet but there has to be a trade off in engine or turbo life. I'm fine with it , I'll be getting some form of tune soon too.

We could do this on the 2.2, also
