Trifecta tune help

Ok I got my trifecta tune put in today the car runs great but I want to send in a datalog anyway. I've all ready made my datalog but how do I go about sending it to have it checked out. And those of you with it did it raise your revs any. I still end up shifting about 6k and when shifting without flat footing do you guys experience something like turbo lag for about two seconds and then it builds back up. Kind of like the turbo stops spooling for a second and then takes off. Im afraid i may have a small leak maybe. If i NLS which i know isn't the best now it does fine. thanks

I know thats the reason im worried about the hesitation after the shift. When just shifting fast going from 2nd to 3rd once it takes 3rd gear it holds 4k for 2 seconds then starts picking up again

Send Vince an email at vince@trifectaperformance.com Just attach the datalog file to the email and put in the description you want Vince to review the log.

If you don't NLS, then you are gonna lose some boost when you shift, thats fact. The main reason why the GM engineers added the NLS feature was to prevent boost loss between shifts. Also, as others have stated, if you NLS while tuned, you do put added stress on the tranny and whatnot, and most people don't recommend it. I won't NLS from 1-2, but I do it from 2-3, 3-4. I also have a upgraded clutch. The stock clutch will slip badly on a tuned car, depending on how many miles you have and obviously your driving style.

As for as the rev limiter, I did not have my stock limiter raised. I think Vince can do it if you request it, but unless you get upgraded valve springs, I wouldn't recommend it.

Datalog the ever living snot out of that car. Please DO NOT be content with just 1 or 2 logging sessions. Be sure to include multiple driving styles and conditions in the log as well. What I mean by that is you should include some normal stop and go city driving like you would normally drive the vehicle around town, some WOT 1st-3rd gear pulls, and then of course he will need to see some WOT highway (or straight open road) pulls. When doing your highway pulls you want to be in 3rd and start from 2,500-3,000rpm and flat foot it all the way to redline (which I assume is 6500 for you at this point). It is very important to do this on a clear open road because you do NOT want to lift off the throttle when doing this 3rd gear highway pull. It's important that he gets a clean log here.

Use this technique every time he sends you an update until he gets sick of you and tells you to stop sending him logs. Then at that point you'll need to send him at least one more log and be sure to remind him that he's your bitch now so make it right.. j/k.. sorta

The car won't pull to 6500. It goes to around 6 and falls flat. As your approaching 6k you can feel it trying to dip around 5800 ish thats why i asked if it should rev out anymore than stock. I think I still have to stock limit but power falls off before the limiter. I all ready took one log and I live in a pretty curvy place but I ran the **** out of it going about 8 minutes up the road and then drove normally half the way back. I'll datalog a couple more times and send it thanks.

This is your turbo running out of breath. Does it feel like it stops pulling but still has 24psi?

Its just the stock turbo reaching its max flow point.

^^ this.. Plus the base file is very mild and not at all custom by any stretch of the word

It's also extremely important to get a good long 3rd gear 2500rpm to at least 6000rpm WOT pull with your foot to the floor the whole time. Drive 40 minutes out of your way if you have to, just make the logs correctly. Don't even bother getting a tune if you're not willing to get it done right or willing to put in the little extra effort on your part. I'm not trying to be a dick, just don't complain when you start having issues with the tune.

If thats your rev limiter then thats why your losing power, vince adds gobs and gobs of fuel before rev limiter. Your supposed to add fuel to help protect overrevs but not to that extent. I saw this just recently in one of his loggs.

The car pulls great up to about 5500 and then its just not so smooth you can feel it start to die down I guess you'd say. It seems like the more I've drove it the better it feels. Its the 23 24 psi tune so i don't know if the turbo would be at its max point or not and i haven't paid attention to the boost gauge about the lag feeling when shifting but it doesn't do it every time its like if you catch it just right the motor will hold 4k for a couple seconds and then take off again. I'm gonnna get a couple more datalogs and send them to have it checked thanks.
