trifecta tune infiniboost tune 30 psi

there isn't a drop in hp it being 100+ when he was dynoing hurts HP .. esp with no extra bolt ons and spinning the turbo way out of it's range. (which he knows it's doing, but this was developed with the intent to help out turbo swaps and such and it just so happened that the car made more power lol )
my bad i swear i thought he said it was holding at least 26 psi at redline.. my fault though..

free upgrade.. no .. discount.. yes... there will be a package including a real time logger and such so he has to charge something haha
I think the main point was the fact that the TMAP sensors couldn't read higher than that. That's part of why there were so many people chomping at the bit over the GM Stage Kit. It had sensors that could read higher levels of boost and the proper rescaling in the ECU programming to read this new, differently calibrated sensors. Vince has done some of his magic and rescaled everything to where you can now go over the previous boost pressure limitation.
hmmmm map clamp possibly???
now idk if this is possible to use...but its made by AEM, 3.5 bar map sensor...

no map clamping involved.. it was just done shearly to test for big turbo setups since he was tuning one.. and they were having issues .. he tested it on his car before giving it to the balt
I don't get why people get all stuck up on 1 idea. In the e85 thread, people only saw the downfall of e85 vs the limitations of our fuel system. In this thread about "infiniboost", people are bitching that the stock turbo will be out of it's efficiency range. If Vince can custom write code for this ecm, don't you think he can understands the basics of how a turbo works??
I guess that's the difference between "forum tuners and mechanics" vs guys who have first hand experience of what they are talking about. They don't see how pushing 30 psi could allow us to make killer power with a small turbo that has some more flow capacity than a K04. They don't realize that if Vince is able to custom codes things for this os, he should be
to unlock the fuel tables that are limiting us at 400 whp...

and he's working on the fuel tables.. .. i'm not worried .. people always will have **** to talk..

So the issues werent the turbo, it was the fuel mapping. For some reason I thought the turbo was maxed at ~22 psi.
**edit**
I remember seeing a stock turbo dyno running 370ish whp, and the dyno was all over the place because the turbo was being pushed too far.
I’m not complaining about the OS tweak and I certainly never said anything against Vince and his technical/mechanical aptitude. All I am saying is there is potential for damaging your turbo running a boost pressure as high as 30psi. Because you know people are going to see “30psi” and think “OMG 500WHP!” without taking the necessary precautions. I think people are actually stuck more on the idea of running MAX boost on their stock turbo vs. the fact that vendors are moving forward in cracking our ECU…Or at least “cheating” it, as in this case.
The whole point is that companies are producing more products for us to overall reach higher power outputs...That's the exciting part.

vince, would you be able to give me a regular tune thats still pretty aggressive and then another aggressive tune setup for nitrous??? because im gonna be whackin' this **** with a 50-75 shot next year lol

This reminds me of the LSJ guys and their machined snouts running a 2.5" pulley on the M62. Heat soak, and engine failures were quick to proceed.
Anybody with a functioning brain will know it's not good to push it to 30 psi and nobody said that it was good to do so. I don't see what is the point in saying over and over that it's bad for the stock turbo, without seeing the advantage of having the possibility to run more than 22 psi.

On a bigger turbo, running 30 psi is fine and dandy. However, running it on the stock turbo is not. This is why Im questioning the first post.
If Vince knew what he was doing, which obviously he does, why is he pushing the t-scroll to 30 psi? I want to see a dyno sheet because it makes NO SENSE to be pushing it that far. I want to see what he has done to be able to run that much psi and still make good power safely.
AS I SAID. This is just like the LSJ guys running the 2.5"s and a 7300 redline, when the stock SC is maxed at 2.9" @ 7k rpm.
It makes no sense.
It will make 400 wtrq and 290-300whp at 30 psi on the stock turbo. This is ment for those who want to put a GT30R or other larger turbo that is more efficient at higher than 22 psi.

torque.
running 30psi consistently is way out of it's compressor range. the gm tune will spike 25-27psi then drop down to 21 towards redline. catching on yet?
