Trifecta Tune INSTALLED!

First of all I want to give props to Vince he is the man! I received the package yesterday in the mail, charged it, pluged it in. About 1/2 hr later I was smoking tires through 2nd gear! Boost is peaking at 22 psi and the car is now a rocket! Anyone who is having doubts about this tune man up and buy it, cuz its worth evey penny!

the bpv spring upgrade does make a difference. it holds boost better than the piece of **** stock spring and no you dont have to retune with that.

You probably was burning it because you're not used to that tune yet. Mine still feels fine and I've had the tune now for about 6 weeks or so.

Yeah, after I went for the first drive I did smell clutch burning but that was only after I did no-lift shift driving around. Thanks for the info on the bov spring hope to get it soon.

Its w/o a doubt the best performance upgrade for the money. Since installing around 4 weeks ago, I've actually changed my mind to even bother doing the DP and exhaust. I see no reason as the car already has issues gaining traction on dry pavement. Its hard to beat 250 for such a dramatic difference the your car.

And as mentioned....an intake (just makes the car sound really nice) and bov spring (does make a sound difference, performance meh, just like hte way it sounds) really enhance the driving experience. So much my gas mileage after is constantly dropping now lol.....

talk about torque steer, yeah my clutch was burning from shifting normally without the NLS so I guess I will be upgrading, cant wait to see what it sounds like after Downpipe install and heavy duty spring, so how many of you out there have the Dejon intake and how is it working out, I want to get it but dont want issues

How many miles on the car? I have just under 5k, which is one reason I dont have any cluthc issues I'm sure. I expect down the road to have some, which is no big deal...kind've the price you pay sometimes when you mod.

I have the dejon intake, and I've had it for a few weeks w/o issues. I was one of the first to get it w/ the breather nippled welded on, previous models did not have it welded, which I'm sure are the ones you hear talking about issues. It does rub which is easily fixed, and but now its actually wedged even lower when I titled the motor w/ the ottp mounts, so I'll have to watch it to see where it rubs now.

I have 6000 miles on my car and no clutch smell or slip even with no lift shift, and have about a 1000 miles on the tune. The tune is amazing and I have a dejon intake and bypass valve spring, with a muffler delete. My and some buddies go to mansfield ohio on the weekends and do a little racing, I had the fastest car there and there were 2 subbies, 2 c5 vettes, that i thought were fast, so i was talking to one of the guys and asked who the faster of the two vettes were, then asked him if he wanted to run just to see what happens, it was an 02 c5 with intake and axle back exhaust with a 6 speed, we went from a 30 roll, i wanted to do a 40 but he said no, anyway i ended up winning, his head light was at my rear bumper, when we got fone he said awsome car, and everyone was amazed and asking all these questions, it was pretty cool.

i have to say though , for gm to put a stock NLS and launch control on our cars and say that the stock clutch is up to that job and they did 500 luanches with NLS and blah, blah, and no problems, blah, blah, and all i hear about is slippery clutches with 300whp! i don't agree with someone that said, thats the price u pay with mods (a shot clutch)

ok, maybe with 400whp!!! but a clean 300!!?? BS!! and vince did say to me directly, that he thought NLS and launch should only be for stock??

quick question though, up to what whp and tq do you guys think the STOCK DP AND EXHAUST are good to flow with??? i really like the stock turbo back but plan to go trifecta with cia CPing

IT really all depends on you honestly. Once tuned, the stock DP is going become a flow problem, which makes that the next item. Exhaust is decent for stock, I personally for my car see no need for the DP or catback setup right now, The tires break easily in 2nd gear at 3k+ rpms...Until traction is addressed I see no reason to add more power .

My clutch has never slipped. It usually slips because when you first lay into it there is a 25 psi boost spike that is why some people's torque goes up to 350-360 ftlbs then within 500-1000 rpms it falls down to 300 or so. It is that surge that causes the clutch to slip. I have no real boost spike anymore. It stays at 21.5-22 psi at all times
