Tune Info!
Tune Info!
I bought a 2010 ss recently and it has a 22psi trifecta tune on it, and I was wondering if i could add an intake or downpipe without screwing anything up? I dont know if i would need a re-tune or not. If I do need to get a retune, what all would i need to get tuned considering the car is already tuned? Or do i just basically start from scratch?
I was also wondering what is a good safe amount of boost to run on a tune, because I have seen people with 25psi tunes and such. I know im asking alot of questions, figure ill kill many birds with one stone. Plus im sick of the search engine, and google only does so much!

Youll need retuned, unless the old owner had bolts ons and took them off before selling the car. Just email Vince at Trifecta and tell him your situation. Your also going to need the red cable and ezflash to upload a tune. And 24psi seems to be the sweet spot...Ive been at 28,26,24,22,20, and 18 but im currently am at 24. I have also been retuned several times.
Thanks for the swift response, and 22psi is awesome i was just wondering where we peaked at with potential. 24 it is!! Do i just go to the trifecta website and go through the "contact us" thing? Also any idea what the most popular or "best" intake and downpipe combo is?

I can't speak for others but I've had my Hahn cai for 3 years now with no rust issues whatsoever. Same goes for any balts I have tuned with Hahn's unit. Maybe there was a bad batch at one point but none that I have ever had experience with. Plus it just feels far more robust than k&n's system and I just think it flat out looks better. Just my opinion of course though.
